MY first SPEEDING ticket....

FINALLY, i got my first speeding ticket in my 3 yrs driving history last night.

And it was SO stupid...

driving from city down south, at anzac highway i met 2 young kids car. Once i turn into south road, one of them who driving a nissan NX keep parallel to my car, i igore him but he keep staying in that position for "mins". Until we get close to used tyre mart, he finally give up and slow down. i drop into 4 gear and pull away from him as he is so annoying.

But at the time i put my eye on the road again from the rear mirror i reach a traffic light, apply the brake slightly but not enough... "FLASH"! there u go $17x...

other than money, i have been punished by GF not allow to turn on my boost controller for 2 weeks.. :chairshot

you never know Chapman - a fair few of those permanent cameras fail - I got done about 4 months ago at Golden Grove on the way to marshal at the Coopers Rally, saw the flash, but never received the fine (I hope it's not still on the way). :/

wow.. My last speeding ticket was when I was 20.. 70km/h in a 60 zone.

Thats a damn record. 5 years.

That was in my little old slugger, rattly, had to replace the whole drive line & rear IRS chassis VS 5ltr 5 speed Commodore because it couldn't handle 150rwkw of brute.. umm slugginess. lol.

I got a couple of 70km/h in 60zones in that. The gearing was long and made it easy to creep over the speed limit after accelerating away from a set of lights.

I have had a lot of close calls with mr policemens on motor bikes though.

They always just happen to have pulled some one else over, one let me go and simply shook his head at me. (110 in 100 zone Southern Expressway)

How fast were you going Maxx?

sure Cubes :)...give it time, and a bigger turbo then VFFRRT..out the window with that record :)

Lemme guess Maxx....Daws road/south road intersection?? I got done in the gf's laser two weeks ago in the same spot. 71 in a 60 :) $156? from memory....(oh the shame:Oops: )

Damn traffic light speed camera there :)

same spot! i have seen a lot of flash there weekly, mostly red light camera.

i think there is something wrong with the device over there.

it's $154, i think i got done for 71 as well...

not a good time for fine as christmas coming.

only a few seconds light step on the gas @ 4 gear, damn the car is too fast :)

joel, she won't see this, she hate SAU so much coz i spend more time here than stay with her :kick:

well guys cop this one I got done doing 163kph in a 110kph zone and was chased by the cops and pulled over and the first thing the fat porker said to me was " what the hell do you think you are doing " SAVE the lecture and write the ticket orificer $427 and 6 points later i got back into my car and went home faster! and my girlfiend told me to boost up my car hehehehehe thats why she stayed and became my wife!! :aroused:

and this comes from a guy who made the following comment in another thread

its really sad 3 ppl died BUT 150kph in a 50kph zone WELL! need i say more, cmon guys most of us speed BUT in a 50kph zone with three ppl in the car??? maybe they should restrict p platers to drive mirages,corollas etc. this is

I think he has a short memory

      Anyone want to make me an offer to take my v36/g37 3.7l manual coupe in full? Off memory it was low 100k km but the battery is flat so can't tell right now. What's wrong. I had engine problem's that led to a nice clunk. It made it home but it wasn't pretty for the last few kms. Happened under revs. Sounds like bottom end.. never got around to fully checking or fixing it so the car has sat still and unregistered for a few years. Minor bump in front end set the pedestrian protection under bonnet airbag off and that was meant to be repaired, but while waiting for the repair (parts to come) I got the engine problem. The rest of the car is in decent condition. All drive line is good. All interior is good. Leather interior. Wheels in good condition and decent tyres although the ps4s are likely a little too old now it's sat still. Colour of the car is pewter off memory, the dark grey colour. In Camden NSW. Would need a tray back pickup.

      I started with the above in my head too, and I might be reading / thinking about what they want wrong, which is why I complicated it a bit further. Purpose I'm seeing is for the corner indicator to be on with headlights, and then if the indicator turns on it can still flash. The relay part above I can see working as required, except in the case of headlight is on, and indicator is on. The change over relay you've wired in would get signal from the indicator, and as it flashes would give power to the globe from the indicator, but as it flashes off, power comes from the headlight, which would cause the indicator to be constantly on when headlight is on, even while indicator change over is flashing. That is unless we don't care if it flashes or not if the headlight is on? I guess that's an OP clarification.

      HI, Ive got an r34 gtt sedan A/T. The instrument cluster went out and I replaced it with another A/T everything visually looks the same and all the gauges work now with the exception of the speedometer and odometer. The speedo will stay pinned at zero until I'm going about 55kmh and then it'll say Im going about 5kmh. my odometer seems to be tracking at about a 1/10 of what it should. If I go 1km it'll say I've only gone 0.01. Appreciate any and all help. Ive tried searching through the forums reddit and a local fb group. The only info I think I've found is that some cars didnt come equipped with TCS (mind is) and the clusters may be different between those? I've also installed a brand new VSS and no joy obviously. TIA.
