Datsun 280ZX tell me about it

Hi People,

i have seen and rather like the look of the above Datsun, so if you can tell me what you know.

what i know;

not much

it's red

it has the two moon/sun roof thingos in the top ( sorry for offending anyone , i don't know what they are called exactly)

and yep that's it.

All I know about them is they evolved from the 240z which became the 260z then the 280.

The 240z was a significant car in it's time as it was the first mass produced, affordable sports car to hit the market. Light weight with good handling and a great 6 cyl engine ensured it's popularity.

The 280 on the other hand is more of a boulevard cruiser than sports car.

Go for a 240z instead :uh-huh:

I agree with dino.. I would go for a 240z.. A few months ago I just missed out on a very nice and tidy one.. I still want one tho..

280z is nicer, but heavier and more a cruiser than your lovable chuckable 240 / 260

george is your resource, however I dont think he comes on sau anymore.
