Hey all Why does my idle move when im turning my steering wheel from side to side?????? The car idles normally but when i start to move the steering wheel the idle starts to move. what the hell is going on???

One last thing. My dog today has ruined my weekend. I woke up today and my dog has eaten the wires under the car at the rear for the 4WS. I have taken it to the auto electrician they have wired it all up again BUT......... the 4WS doesnt work. F%#$ dog im going to kill him. Any ideas what the hell it could be. The auto electrician has now unplugged the 4WS and he is going to have a better look at what happening with the computer that operates the 4WS. pisses me off though cause i now have the flashing light HICAS contstantly on now. annoying really.

It's normal...with the engine idling turning the steering wheel causes increased pressure in th PS fluid system and puts load on the pump. That load is transferred to the engine, which causes the idle to drop. R32's have an extra pressure sensor in the front PS lines that tells the ECU to bump up idles in situations like this (a bit like the air conditioner fast idle switch). R33's might be different, however.

most cars these days have the idle up solenoid which tells the computer to raise engine revs to compensate the extra load from the p/s when pressures increase(movement side to side) As for u hicas, get a lock bar. Try going to a mechanic with a scan tool and they might be able to delete the hicas light, or take the fuse out(if it has one) for the light :(
