Did my p offs today. Slowest 3 hours ever and the majority of everyone there were obvious hoons

When they asked everyone why they're there, was it any surprise the amount of people that answered "because if I don't do this I lose my license"? It's bullshit that you don't lose the points until you pay the fine, coz that means those kunce have a chance to gain 4 more points before they lose their Ps domokun.gif

I'm heading overseas in April for a couple of months and doing the whole 'saving' business. I'm heading around Asia.. so I don't need to save toooo much, but I still want to be able to spend with confidence.

The shitttyyy thing is that whenever I log into SAU someone is selling something which i really need/want, but I hold off from buying it.. fk u guise! (in the nicest way possible).

Maybe I should just go nuts and buy all the car stuff in Asia and just get them shipped back here. lol

True Chris and I should too. I'm too old to be mixing it with the new young bloods.

The forums are good for knowledge and parts, thats about it nowdays.

Having the GTR running sweet and looking good after sooooo long over excited me.:/

Tissue please

PS. Just going for a drive up there and watch for an hour or so. It's a mixed bag day by the looks of things including superTT's

Half the time I think about selling my car myself, Still a great car to drive and puts a smile on my face when I drive it, but its been such a money pit. Which is why so many people have gone I suppose.

yeah heaps of people said that, except apparently now that doesn't work since that's what everyone did so now points are taken straight away - only a rumor though

If you guys are bored we should do a regular cruise on a good road like the twisties and up to Blundells flat (the end of the bitumen on Uriarra rd).

Plenty of good spots for a picnic too.

When i rode sportbikes this was very popular and heaps of fun cos you just go at your own pace.

If yous wanna have some fun ya gotta get off your ass and do stuff!

Dunno if my opinoins valid seeing as im nearly 40 and i still like Lego and Playstation.

    • Sadly I can confirm if you are actually seeking to drift, you will quite easily spin up one wheel. Even if you're going in a straight line. I am not entirely sure of the metrics/terminology here but there's only a certain amount that the helical will actually spin both wheels. I've seen it on video with my own car where two lines of smoke switch over to just one after you really get in to it. Unlike with a clutch diff where you can keep your foot planted until the car regains grip, in my experience with the helical you want to be utilizing traction control allowing LIMITED slip or lifting (partially) when you start to spin up both tyres with a Nissan helical. Which makes them pretty sub optimal for drifting duty. That said... this is probably a helical on numbers alone. Just put the Kazz in
    • Let's just fix the problem by f**king the rest of the gearbox.
    • Unlikely, as per Greg's post. This is not helical diff behaviour unless one wheel is up off the ground. Shimming what? You don't "shim" a mechanical LSD. Probably not in the sense that you have heard of people "shimming" a diff. And the process that Nissan f**kwits call "shimming" a diff involves super-preloading a VLSD cartridge against the side of the diff to create a friction/wear point (in a place that it wasn't supposed to have one) to make the sloppy, useless, viscous diff into a hybrid viscous/mech abortion. In case it isn't clear, I consider the process to be stupid. Nike.
