Had son's bday at the Donosaur Museum...kids loved it.

Have to check it out.

Been playing Kerbal space program, awesome rocket science style game.

Not today though, migraine and painkillers make trajectory solutions too hard to handle. >_< ouch!

Migraines are the worst !!! I feel your ummm... pain. :D

Do you get them often? Do they affect your vision much?

If I get one, my eyesight goes all weird and I lose my peripheral vision, lasts around half an hour and as my vision starts to return, the headache comes on and lingers for 2 - 3 days... :(

I get this too and I've had one on and off all week. Not fun!

Well I have a headache now. Tell you why.

Son said see if you can sell my Evo while I'm in the U.S. Signed papers etc...

A genuine guy from Sydney wanted to buy the Evo, all cashed up and on his way down with a mate to Pick-up this eve.

The shit part.

Son's taken his paper work for the Evo incl rego papers to his work I'd say. (some young tyre kicker was interested).

Rego Paper work is obviously still at his work. Because I've turned the whole farkin house and his car over for the last hour looking for them.

 me kids......make it hard

So I've had to call the buyer back and let him know. He'd just reached that Pheasants nest stop.

Soo embarrassed and angry right now.

On top of that I spent a lot of today making it shine

Oh man, that really sux. Good thing you got on the horn so quick, would've been worse if the guy made it here before hand.

Guessing you can retrieve the papers and go again? Take that Baby for a Fang in Anger in the meantime. :woot:

On the Headache thing... I even got my eyes checked and a mild prescription made up, thinking that could be the cause but no.

Dehydration maybe? Not sure why it happens but luckily I haven't had one for ages...

I've had all that done too. Even had scans done on my head and neck to see if anything obvious was wrong but no. Unfortunately a lot of them go undiagnosed because they just don't know the cause.

True - would like to fang the bejubus out of it.

Access to the papers on 2july. Don't expect cashed up buyer to wait tho :(

On headaches stressing out causes mine. Migranes one or twice a year are extremely painful

New studies have found we have a slightly differently developed outside layer of the brain, and the pain processing centre is a bit screwed up.

Maybe thats why it doesnt hurt when i break bones.

I think ive had every type of migraine there is. I get anywhere between 2-20 a year. Some have very strange effects, once i had my vision flip for about 5 seconds. :teehee:

There are triggers. Know what they are and avoid them. Sometimes it takes a day for it to happen, so its hard to work out what the trigger is.

Mine are : diesel fumes, some food additives (vegetable gums etc), dehydration, too low or too much of a swing in blood sugar and eye strain (usually from gaming).

When i was younger chocolate was a bad one, but i have seemed to get over it to some degree.

So learn how to meditate and how to tell when it is coming, so you can get some painkillers down before you start spewing up.

if its THE car for them, theyll wait.

Spoke to the scrutineer at SDMA today, he doesnt like loose seat rails, two people last week with spinal injuries at nsw hillclimbs due to seats ripping out in a roll.

Have to get new ones now.

Your seat rails are loose?

I dont get migraines.

get approx 5-8 headaches a year.

I've never had a headache. Had the music blasting the whole way home from Newcastle (4 hours or so) got out - ears ringing, head fine. Also I play with a loud headset ( use to) for YEARS ! Never once got a headache. I've had hearing tests and all is fine also did some research on never having a headache. Many people do not get them (few of us haha) but I get told from everyone that I'm very lucky that I've never experienced one.

Headaches aren't bad most of the time, just irritating. Migraines are f**ked though, thankfully I've only ever experienced one truly unbearable migraine which actually had me laughing deliriously rofl.

Custer headaches are supposed to be the real deal though lol, can't even imagine a pain so bad you'd consider doing literally anything to rid it.

I take the cake here with my stroke though :P

I've never had a migraine... they seem pretty nasty. Someone I knew used to get them, usually triggered by chocolate. One time he got one in the middle of Woolies and almost passed out, I had to get him in the car and drive him home.

I've never had a reeeeally bad headache either, only minor ones.

I in fact suffer from Hemiplegic migraines they are not nice to have nor would like to hear of anyone having them.

I could be sitting at home or out and about and BAM!! it hits me and i literally have to be driven home and put in a dark room by myself for a few hours until i calms enough the main thing that causes my migraines to hit is low blood sugar, lack of sleep, low protein.

I feel sorry for anyone who does get severe headaches or migraines because I do know what they are like.

I get migranes at least 2x a month.. puts me out of action for at least 24 hours (basically get incapacitated). I get warnings by not being able to see objects directly in front of me (they call them aura's).. thats when I know it's going to get bad.. my fix is to put a pair of really dark oxy-acetylene goggles on, and just sit quietly for a few hours.. It stuffs me around pretty badly, have had chronic fatigue for the last few years because of it.. so sometimes its really hard to even get going.

I think the main cause for me is stress + sometimes light at the wrong angle sets it off too..

    • Very decent bit of kit. Definitely black it out I reckon.
    • Because people who want that are buying euros. The people with the money to buy the aftermarket heads and blocks aren’t interested in efficiency or making -7 power, they’re making well over 1,000hp and pretty much only drive them at full throttle  best way to way make money is know your customer base and what they want and don’t spend money making things they don’t want.
    • It's not, but it does feel like a bit of a missed opportunity regardless. For example, what if the cylinder head was redesigned to fit a GDI fuel system? It's worth like two full points of compression ratio when looking at modern GDI turbo vs PFI turbo. I'm pretty reliably surprised at how much less turbo it takes to make similar power out of a modern engine vs something like an RB26. Something with roughly the same dimensions as a -7 on an S55 is making absolutely silly power numbers compared to an RB26. I know there's a ton of power loss from things like high tension rings, high viscosity oil, clutch fan, AWD standby loss, etc but it's something like 700 whp in an F80 M3 vs 400 whp in an R33 GTR. The stock TF035HL4W turbos in an F80 M3 are really rather dinky little things and that's enough to get 400 whp at 18 psi. This just seems unwise no? I thought the general approach is if you aren't knock limited the MFB50 should be held constant through the RPM range. So more timing with RPM, but less timing with more cylinder filling. A VE-based table should accordingly inverse the VE curve of the engine.
    • I've seen tunes from big name workshops with cars making in excess of 700kW and one thing that stood out to me, is that noone is bothering with torque management. Everyone is throwing in as much timing as the motor can take for a pull. Sure that yields pretty numbers on a dyno, but it's not keeping these motors together for more than a few squirts down the straight without blowing coolant or head gaskets. If tuners, paid a bit more attention and took timing out in the mid range, managed boost a bit better, you'll probably see less motors grenading. Not to name names, or anything like that, but I've seen a tune, from a pretty wild GT-R from a big name tuner and I was but perplexed on the amount of timing jammed into it. You would have expected a quite a bit less timing at peak torque versus near the limiter, but there was literally 3 degrees of difference. Sure you want to make as much as possible throughout the RPM range, but why? At the expense of blowing motors? Anyhow I think we've gone off topic enough once again lol.
    • Because that’s not what any of them are building these heads or blocks for. It’s to hold over over 1000hp at the wheels without breaking and none of that stuff is required to make power
