no issue there....you undo 2 bolts to take the caliper off the hub but you don't undo the brake line. Support the caliper so it's not hanging by the brake line, slip the disc off, clean the hub/disc surface and slip the new disc on.

Hmmmm...Considering giving this a go.

Any specialised tools required?

Yeah man do it! Read the DIY thread and have a crack. I did mine (First Time Ever) a couple of years ago, the last one took no time at all.

A bent up coat hanger is great to hang the caliper on to ease pressure on hoses and a bolt that fits in a particular threaded hole helps in the disc removal. Decent Spanner and a Rubber Mallet. Very Rewarding and the Slotted Rotors look Pertty but work so much better than the old stock scratched up discs...

Happy to assist... :)

They can be tight bastards, make sure to keep the wd40 off the pads.

Breaker bar helps, and some blue locktite when you put em back in is good.

But, yeah 2 bolts, easy as.

One thing i forgot...........

If the new rotors arent perfectly straight dont be surprised, its your old hubs.

The solution is get them machined ON the hub. And mark the alignment etc.

Do you mean machining the brake face of the rotor or the mating face that mates with the hub.

You machine where the brake pads touch.

I have never done skyline brakes but done many of various cars so if you wanna hand and I'm free I'll come help and learn. Also I have a piston pusher backerer<---- yes that's a technical term lol

Thanks for all the advice and offers of help....which I may take you up on!

I ordered the parts today and they should be here on Thursday. Was thinking of doing it on the weekend but not sure.

My other concern is only having the normal car jack. Is this going to present any issues?
