R33 - wtf is that thing

Something always boggled me when I used to have my R33.. that was, what the hell was that little scoopy ledge thing on the right side of the drivers dash!? Now, one could think it was for coins perhaps.. though surely not.. as they’d fly out the first corner you hit or under boost for that matter. Anyone actually know?

I think it is actually for coins, for drive-thrus, parking or something.

Maybe the coins in Japan are small? Like 5 cent pieces?

yeh ive wondered that before too, i think it may have been somewhere they put a factory extra such as front spoiler control or something

and if you dont want it, it can be used for coins too

i agree that the idea was probably for coins but i dont think anyone tested to see whether they'd stay in there as they always seem to fall out too easily as i have tried a few times and then gave up straight away

i think my mums toyota corolla has one of those things too if i remember correctly
