Intercooler queries

this may be a dumb question but here goes...

i have an rb20t in my s13 silvia, im still running the stock side mount cooler from my ca18t engine. Would this hinder the performance or would it b no different from having the rb20 cooler there???

Getting the cooler will allow you to increase the boost which of course will give you more power

so your saying the rb20 side mount is better then the ca18 one? or were u just posting irrelevant details...

Check the details on the thickness of it. I think they are the same size. Even if you do change it there would not be any great deal of power increase...

haha thats ok, i kinda figured you mis-read it. I was just wondering coz if i give my car a squirt it'll go hard once, then after that its a slug, the mechanic said the intercooler was heating up and hence power was lost...this was after a few dyno runs of course.

oh well my fmic gets put on on thurs so i guess i'll c if theres a diff, i'll still be running normal boost though...for now
