Clarks Rubber on Beach Road @ Christies Beach has a couple.

They have indicators on them. Didn't notice if they have a front head light.

From memory they are going for around $800-$900.

But really... For $440... Thats a pretty damn good price.

ill take the money if you want and when ive got the cash from ten ill deposit the cash and get them sent over. im not going to run off with you money, im well known on here:) if I dnt get the ten orders ill give you your cash back.

cheers Matt

okay kool... before i transfer the money to you i would like to get a clear list of people who are up for one and are willing to transfer the money to yourself- to get a clear idea of numbers

Matt, maybe edit your thread title to display this, and also list the people in your first post who are in, next pay i should be right for the money, and my mate is still keen im sure, ill ask him tonight. Once you have the money you are clear to order them right away? youve got the green light from your supplier?

  • 2 weeks later...

I think there will be a fair few spare. Matt is gonna order extra and any he can't sell at cost to SAU members, I'm sure he will sell for a substantial profit on Ebay.

He has left for Moomba, for at least the next 3 weeks. Not sure if he is coming back for a break after that, but I'm pretty sure the bikes won't be ordered/delivered before then. Hold tight, they are definately coming, I'm just not positive when. He is trying, as we speak, to set up satellite internet from Moomba, so I'm sure he will pop up on here sooner or later and post some info.

sorry for the post guys i know im not from S.A but thought i would help out.

if u guys need parts check out

http://www.pocketracer.com.au/

they even sell complete race motors for these things.

i just bought a new rear sprocket for more top speed :)

Those ones are sick.

MattR

The other ones i have seen selling for around $800 similiar to your weigh around 35kg and only have a top speed of 55-60km/h. I am assuming they are all coming out of the same/similiar factories in china?

    • Personal experience. Those f**kers burn. And are actually a PITA to put out. Next time I walk down the back, I'll snap a photo of what the inside of the bonnet looks like when that thing ignites. PS, powder fire extinguishers are useless on that stuff too as it's fibrous and when it ignites, it starts to pull apart. And you end up just blowing powder through a sieve effectively.   Like the big thing is, if it's fire resistant, it's job is to stop what burning? The METAL above it? It's just to try keep heat off the bonnet paint work.
    • Oh man, sorry, $60.00000000... 😛
    • That's more or less what he meant. What it really means is that you do not have to go full crazy on the build. Don't need the best oil pump, expensive rods & pistons, big cams, etc. You can upgrade whatever you want instead of using stock level items, but you don't have to. Having said that - any time an RB is opened up, if anything is getting replaced, I think the opportunity should be taken to do all the sensible upgrades. Pistons, rods, pump, etc.
    • February update 🙂 We managed to get the very last 1/18th "Extra Scale" cars stock available from bookstores in Kyoto. These are actually the last ones and will not be restocked again! Hachette Collections Japan have not decided on a release date for these or other models in the series, so for the time being these are all there are available new.  These are showing up on Yahoo auctions at inflated prices already (especially the Celica and NSX) so get yours now at a very reasonable price before they disappear!
