turbo question?

im aimin to get around 300rwkw in my r33 gtst

just not sure on what turbo would best suit, im lookin at

3037s

gt30/40

gt35r

which turbo would best produce the 300 beein fairly responsive so what a/r's would be best for each?

well i can help you narrow it down to 2. gt3540 and gt35r are the same thing!

Have a look at the huge results of the 3037 thread in this forum and make your mind up on that.

I have a GT35 for my 3.0, but i would lean toward it being too big for a 2.5

Actually, my mechanic has picked me up a trust td06 for the same price as the gt3040...he said better turbo 4 the money...so that getting manifold made up now...

TD06-25G more power and better response then HKS 3040 on similar RB25s with cams and Trust inlet manifolds.

From what i have seen id say stay away from the HKS3040 and get the 3037. If you are talking Garretts then i have no idea:(

Trust is a better brand in my opinion to Garrett.

Im not bagging out Garrett in any way, just my opinion is that all the japanese road/raceers o.seas are using them way more than Garrett so they must be good!

on the nengun website there is the Trust/Greddy TD06SH-25G for $2472 delivered, does anyone know if that would have other costs involved as some ppl say? i have bought an avcr and power fc from there recently and no other costs were involved?

also there is the HKS 3037S for $2841 delivered...

Apparently around 18-19psi is about as high as you need go. Id be inclined to get the 3037S, but if they are both new turbos then i suppose there isnt anything in it as far as the kms you will get out of the turbos

I dont think that is the best argument to base a turbo purchase on.

I am sure that has more to do with japanese buying japanese product.

Trust/Mitsubishi is low tech compared to HKS/Garrett but very effective in there own right.
