RB30DET Going back on the Dyno

Going back on the dyno after my 210rwkw read out on 8psi 2 weeks ago...

Could only run 8psi because the wastegate actuator was only holding 8psi.. now i fitted a aftermarket 14psi one and raised the fuel pressure up a bit...

RB30DET 25/30 Hybrid with all Stock 25det injectors / setup

rx7 / t4 hybrid turbo

Im thinking the turbo has lots of room for more power if it made that reading at only 8psi ???

If it ran 210rwkw before on 8psi wonder what it could make now

Anyone have a similar setup with power figures?? will post a before and after dyno read outs

I'd say around 230 - 260rwkw's ? on 14 psi

RR Fuel Pressure Reg.

whats a RR fuel reg??? I have a malpassi adj fuel pressure reg and its sitting on 50psi idle pressure. is that the same deal?

Rising rate reg... the previous advocates of using standard injectors on big power cars have not mentioned it for a while... could be the fact the motor shat itself so they rebuilt it + then changed injectors?

what injectors and fuel reg are you using?

550cc injectors, not sure wat fuel reg but i got a Bosch 600HP fuel pump. was on the car already.

made 230rwkw and its only holding 10psi.. it hits 14psi but then goes back down to 10... Stupid boost problems.

why risk your engine, just get some bigger injectors and a bigger pump!

its not worth an engine rebuild!

Sure 300rwkw could be done but the injectors will fail at some time breaking your motor.

Why do you think there are so many rb25's that run stock injectors and break once over the 240-250rwkw mark.

Look at the reliable RB25's that have held together.

Freebaggins 280rwkw is an excellent example running bigger injectors.

Do you have a boost leak? or is your Bov Venting?

Have a listen and watch the boost graph while on the dyno.

No boost leak or anything... it must be a waste gate controll issue... running a bleed valve.

You are right. In the morning i am going to put the boost down to 8psi and save up some more pennies for injectors...

Would GTR injectors be good enuf ?

Bleed valves are known to bleed down at high rpm.

Generally they will only hold ~2-3psi more than the wastegate can handle.

Either redrill the holes in your actuator bracket and make it an adjustable actuator or get your self an EBC.

I went with the redrilling of the actuator bracket.. Works well, takes a little fiddling though.
