heheh not yet.. I'll keep thinking. :D

Sure the 044 may have constant voltage but what happens at night when the lights, wipers and all the accessories are on?

When the fuel pump drops slightly in voltage its flow also drops dramatically.

For example a Nissan GTR pump that receives 13.5volts will flow ~250L/P.H.

Bump that voltage up to 16.5v and it will flow nearly 340L/P.H.

*Apparently* As an example to help clarify.

There are fuel pump 'Boosters' that feed a constant 16v or what ever you set.

I'm sure every one has seen the voltage drop when you crank up a stereo.

I can personally vouch for Tristans car: it ****ing moves - ive driven it both with its old 2530, and its first tune with its GT30 - and the thing is a weapon. I went for a drive in it on thursday night with its new tune , and all of a sudden it is a lot , and i mean alot quicker then it used to be. so its making more power. kighting up r comps in 4th onto boost on 50% throttle is a good sign of power. ill be driving it again soon to confirm this alone.

now, tristan knows it doesnt make 511 on a real dyno. im currently holding his dyno chart from 5pm , and it states ***rwhp, in shootout. this is its true power, tristan will host it tomorrow so i wont be giving the number away

tristan is a personal friend, so yeah im biased. i dont see the need to attack him - it makes power, its yet to make a time , so wait , and see how he goes. he hasnt come on here pulling his knob over his power, he has answered every question honestly, so please lay off.

as for the rest of the shit fighting, go for it. i love being reminded of what primary school was like.

all i hear is wah wah wah im a dirty tramp

tristans car is the fastest car ive ever been in. It has bulk power. If you feel you need to get on the net and debate about what it has and hasnt got, ure quite simply a penis...

Props to the man for making whatever, props to SST for building what seems to be a great motor. Now just run an 11 u poofter :(

Ok, enough is enough.

You guys keep it on topic & stop attacking/baiting each other or im going to hand out warnings with no hesitiation.

There is always a bit of passion in discussion and thats fine. Just keep it clean and nice everyone.

now that said...

I have a few inter-related questions though that isnt answered and is bugging me flat out

All i want is it to be answered, i really dont give a stuff about what injectors :(

The turbo is a GT30 correct, and to be a phat curve like Pauls it must be running a .82 rear housing correct? And that would then have it rated to 600HP?

1stly 16psi made 415rwhp (309rwkw)

and then

2ndly 20psi made 511rwhp (381rwkw)

How can 4psi make an extra ~100hp/75kw still running BP ultimate as a fuel???

Even if the turbo was a hybrid/special GT30 of somekind i cant see any turbo making that much more from a lowly 4psi

Maybe 10psi and some C16 :D

i'm the other guy that was there for the dyno run this arvo.. i was the tool holidng the video camera.

like tomj said, Tristan knows the 511 figure is incorrect, and also like tomj said, the thing effing moves, whatever they're doing down at SST is awesome stuff and no one should be bagging them just because you don't know how in the hell they hang it all toghether.

the video will be up asap to give you propper proof of the figures, and yes i think i'm allowed to say that more than one run was done, and all gave more or less the same result.

From what i read lagwagon is commenting on the cars you tune and use in your arguments. So you call him cheap?

-rob77 had stock pistons thats why it blew. nar sorry there are may people running stock pistons that make big hp but they dont push the the stock injectors.

i belive magic 1s 414rwhp i saw it run on the dyno dynamics, but i can also see how it can be done. Cams would help a heap because there increasing power with out heat so the sock injectors dont need to have such a good spray pattern to get a cool clean combustion.( Which happens with large fuel reg presure) forged pisstons again are up for a bit more punishment then the stock. An efficent turbo at a bar. and a tune that would sacrifice power down low for more up top will give you a dyno queen car that pulls some nice graphs but embarrassing track time for the power.

i dont mean to take anthing away from the car its nice just set up differnt to the way others like it each to their own, id love to own it. As you said steve he was setting it up for the dyno comp, he wanted 500rwhp and you got it.

my 2c

From personal experience I made 250rwkw with a bosch Motorsport pump std fuel pressure rail and std injectors. A/F ration was 12.3:1 and any increase to the fuel map made no change to the mixtures. My engine lasted a couple of months and went bang on a cruise without octane booster...as you would expect. I rebuilt the engine and again used standard injectors this time with a nismo adj fuel reg. i found increasing fuel pressure did the trick however my mixtures were never stable. I was told and soon saw on a flow bench that increasing fuel pressure past 10% caused the injectors spray patterns to be distorted which in turn caused uneven burn between cylinders. Time went past and I picked up some 264 cams from BUSTER and installed them. I made 13rwkw more with an up in fuel pressure but stangely enough my mixtures were constantly stable through 5 odd dyno days. The only difference being cams which would tend to support RBVS's theory. I personally think the std injectors can flow quite abit more than 370cc however spray pattern is the first to be affected to the point of hydraulic lock and missfire. The cams enabled the effect of a distorted spray pattern to be reduced and engine life extended because of restabilising of mixtures...

goes to show cams could be a good investment if not purely sort for a power increase.

    • There are fixes for this. In industry we use compressed air for everything. It is frequently wet, and many things cannot tolerate it. So there are various forms of driers available that you can install. The simplest option for something like this would be a dessicant drier. Much cheaper to replace some silica gel than actuator cylinders.
    • That's a solid update mate, well done at WA FOS. You may already know this, but the actuators on the paddle shift are a service item and are sadly not that reliable. As I understand it they collect water from the compressor (condensation) which then rusts the bores/pistons in the actuators. A mate of mine had no end of trouble with them in one if his circuit cars, apparently it's a 'known issue'. Buy a couple of spares at great expense to ensure you never have any problems with the ones you've got! Any clues about what the new WTAC rules might be? While faster cars are cool the Pro class arms race has got to the point where you wouldn't even bother entering without a $1m budget and even then I don't think you'd win.

You can see another picture of it here: https://www.alltranz.com.au/shop/drivetrain/automatic-transmission/RE5R01A/product/9305/ The 4 speed automatic in the GTT is Nissan corporate stuff. You can search up similar jobs done on a Frontier or Pathfinder with a RE4R01B to get an idea for what the internals are going to look like and the procedure like this:
    • Hi Chris,   long time since your post, just wondering if you have the Pinout for the v35 stereo plugs, I bought the roem nis2 harness but it doesn’t match the v35 connector. any help appreciated, I can work out the grn and power constant. But the rest might be hard. thanks Tyson
