I think it had forgies, not sure. Once he put a set of roller rockers in it it went a lot better.  He wanted some Yella Terra alloy heads but said it wasnt worth it on a 10A.

Whats in your FC,  i like old Holdens...still three on the tree?

My FC is stock.....See you at calder dude, talk is for the weak.

Talk is all i got mate. If i shift my auto manually and stall it up i should be able to break into the 14s...LOOL...this is fun...i havent talked this much sh1t in... in...well it must be hours surely:)

But seriously, have always thought drag racing is too brutal on the car, but just curious to see how the old girl goes, plus want to try a few new things on the car. No more dribble from me... i probably have you worried:)

My car is 5spd manual, isnt yours too :D

Come on, your clutch wont explode.. or will it :Paranoid:

Sh1t...110mph on 5psi...im sure its running the std turbo then:(

In all seriousness if i can get a low 13 or high 12 ill be stoked. I doubt i will though as i dont like launching hard in the car, probably the reason the car has been as reliable as it has over the years:)

Your cars been off the road for long nough, why not just extend that period by blowing the sh*t out of you box!!!

The=n you can take it back to ICE to build a new one out of three old ones they have, that they don't know if it'll work or not..... j/k :spcow:

This is why I have stayed away from drags (Except on the street) at Calder etc. I like the idea of testing your cars power to weight in a straight line, but there are just way too many tools out there. St.Albans style di*ks with an arrogant attitude towards new people. I much prefer the enjoyable track days where everyone can give it a go and we can encourage newbies to join.

I'd like to go down to Calder with you Troy, but we may have to just keep to ourselves.

Come to PI in a fortnight...lol we will help peel your car off the wall when you realise that drag racing is for mummy's boys... throw some big stops and turns into the mix and dra queens go to water:)

:werd:

Just like a drag strip only you have to actualy turn at the end once you hit 200+ k/m :P

Yeah one day I want to give this a shot (if only so I can answer everyone when they ask what my car does down the 1/4! LOL) but until I get 2nd gear fixed I'll have to pass up.

But I'll try to come down for a look and to cheer you on Roy. Just don't break the car again before PI. Actually, you sure you don't want to wait til AFTER PI before you try this mate?

Red...your car sounds tasty... any details. Massive brakes? Cool!..110mph? Cool! Is it a 15yr jap jobbie, modded local delivery?

I like Series IV/V RX7s, almost bought one but where i lived at the time stopped me as the locals would have stolen it in a matter of weeks:(

    • Nah no bearings, just slip fit.  Would be a reasonably challenging but not impossible job to modify it to run bearings but I'm hoping that's not necessary as I may have well built one myself if I end up spending hours modifying it!
    • Brumbys with good shells are bloody expensive, I've looked at 2 "cheaper" cars, and walked away from both,  plus after some research spare parts are fairly sparce I'm starting to think that I missed the boat on finding a clean one that is straight (ish) and without alot rust I'm starting to think about a old Hilux as panels and other parts are much more available as they sold tens of thousands of them I use to be indecisive but now I'm not sure
    • A Brumby would probably fit a big metal toolbox in the back... this is how it begins
    • Picked up a new OEM boot seal for the MX5 today as the old one got ripped a bit by me being a idiot by seeing if I could fit a large metal tool box in it, it didn't fit, and ripped the seal with the corner of the tool box I am still waiting on time to get the cams and new balancer installed, as well as the repairs to the boot Time will not be an issue soon though
