Just thinking out loud so may be wrong. Remove/disconnect the rear so that there is less individual wheel spring rate if you get axle tramp. This applies a greater damping rate (overdamped now). Set your pineapples for traction/squat and maybe soften the damping on the rear. weight is not that great an issue. unless you plan to strip lots.

Remove gearbox..interesting. Might need to get some 124" slicks and increase the rev limit to about 13,000rpm so i can get the thing over the line just as im about to hit the rec limit with the tailshaft hooked welded to the crank...might make getting off the line difficult or at least hard on the starter motor:)
