I would go with some sort of pod filter, Apexi being the best, then K&N. They have more surface area and take in more air. I would also look into some sort of cold air box to keep out hot engine air. Also, run some sort of ram air up to the filter for the best results.

i would go for a stock airbox

for:

can still run a high-flow panel filter

can route a CIA from the front bar so the airflow is still very high

looks stock

can legally have a FMIC

against:

induction noise reduced

go the stock airbox with a high-flow. i know i did.

i dont think the airbox is a restriction until you are going over 200rwkw, so stick with the airbox with a hiflow panel filter until then. If you do go the pod direction, make sure you get a proper CAI setup to make full use of it.

I currently have 250rwkw with a HKS mushroom pod filter. It has been recomended to me by a reputable tuner in Victoria to change it back to standard airbox with a K&N hiflow pannel because it flows better. Plus the wooossshhh noise from the BOV is giving me the shits a bit...

Also the larger the area the pod has to sit in can be benificial.It is my beleife that when the turbo spools up as it gets faster the bigger the need for the surrounding vaccume area there is.With a cold air feed with ambient flowing air helps this effect.I say enclose your pod in somthing like this which is what i am thinking of doing.
