R32 GTS4/GTR shock problem

car - R32 GTS4 with GTR shocks and lowered king springs.

the other day i noticed that my front left shock wasn't moving down properly with the rest of the car. when you push down on the right side looking from the top ( engine bay ) down at it, the whole assembly would move down with the rest of the car. unlike the right side the left side what hapenns is when you push down the shock shaft ( middle shaft with the bolt ontop to hold it together ) doesn't move but the rest of the assembly moves with the car... have i done something wrong when putting the spring back onto the shock with bushs?? also the left side sits about 10mm higher than the right.

everything is stock underneath the wheel except i have adjustable caster rods. i used to have adjustable camber but the bushs were stuffed so i went back to standard items.

anyone know whats going on.
