Why is it Nissan have used 2 fuel pressure regulators on the R32 GTS-T (I'm unsure if they also did it on the R33)

One fuel pressure reg. is at the back of the fuel rail near the firewall. This one receives the fuel and passes it on to the injector rail.

The other is at the front of the fuel rail towards the front of the car that feeds the fuel to the return to tank fuel line.

Is there any reason or benefit from this setup or does it simple help hold fuel pressure in the rail and prevent the fuel pump from working as hard as often??

That's the first time I've ever heard or there being two. I'm not sure where you saw that but I have never seen it. I know that when you add and aftermarket one, you leave that standard one on as a backup device to prevent total loss in case of new reg failure.

I also noticed this when I put my new injectors in.

My back one wasn't even connected, the hose going to it was all split and stuffed, so I replaced it when I put the new injectors in

I wonder if thats why my car an so lean..........................

You'd think a decent mechanic would pic something like that up hey.

When I swapped the injectors, I found 4 vacuum hoses with leaks in them/or not connected
