Getting Rims For My Skyline

Guys, my insurance company said i can get rims how ever they have to be the legal size i have gone to the RTA website and the restrictions are on the following link....

on a stock r33 gtst mspec am i allowed to put 18s?

From memory as long as the overall diameter of the fitted tyre does not change by more than 15mm then it is legal.

Well what ever you do, dont go and install that boost control to adjust the boost. You have the biggest restriction still on the car and thats your stock exhaust.

make sure you lower it too, 3cm off the floor

I've got 18x9's with 235/40 rubber on them and a tyre placard on the door that says they're legal

Yeah scan it in, for some reason (dodgy compliance I'm guessing) my R33 has an R32 GTSt tyre placard. It doesn't cause me any problems atm as I have 17x8 DriftR's with Falken ZE512 235/45ZR17s on it, I'd just like to have the right placard if I could.

By the way, is there any reason 17's aren't an option? Tyres are a little bit cheaper, you can go slightly higher profile so it'll ride nicer and, if you choose your wheels carefully, don't "look" an inch smaller than many 18s. Hint: buy wheels with dish
