weird idling problems

the other day my car started idling really high (1500rpms) and sometimes spiking to 2000 only to fall back down to 1500. I have no idea what is causing this because i havent done any mods lately. I reset the ecu and still no difference.

The plugs in it are really really old so they are getting replaced on thursday but does anyone have any other ideas what it might be encase that doesnt work??

The idler bearing has been recently replaced about 3 months ago but one of my mates said it might be the idle selunoid???? any help would be greatly appreciated

Try cleaning the AAC valve (on the rear of the intake manifold)

The TPS may need re-allignement (on the the throttle body facing the front of the car)

I had a similar problem and had the PFC reset and all was OK????

it could be the AAC valve spring didn't stuffed...it didn't return to mormal position. Take the whole thing out & clean it

I have the same sort of problem with my car, and i found it actually came from the electirc window. The switch is stuffed. In my case it is an electrical problem, dont know about yours.

But i was definitly having the same problem.

my silvia idles at like 1900 which is High after getting Exhaust and it tuned it like that runs fine

When mine's cold in the early moring it idles at around 1200+ (think its some electic choke eqiuvalent)

that's normal....ECU increased AAC duty during warm up(more air goes in)
