i was out in woden about an hour or so ago when the storm had just started, what a bastard. hail everywhere, there wasn't any place with cover i could pull in to, cos it was hailing. visiblity was 0. and to top it, some idiot in a old school torana or something broke down in the middle lane of that intersection going past hindmarsh towards fyshwick, he had no hazard lights, almost caused a few crashes.

I can tell you about west westside, huge storms rolling through, hail, wind, lightning etc etc really big in Gundagai/Tarcutta area at 1400hrs. ETA Canberra 1600hrs estimated [by me], its heading your way.

On a lighter note. My nieghbors Soarer got pummeled as it was parked on the nautre strip during the storm. Nothing serious but if you look closely you can see slight indentations on the roof

When u check out the BoM site, take a look at the Canberra radar information link below the map. It explains how good the data is. Most of it is 'C' band radar and it has some limitations.

Yeah was pretty crazy... Was driving home from school at 3:15 and pooring down... Flooded road in a ute thats low and decides to take its own path when driving through deep parts of water is not fun

i have a very steep driveway so always have to leave my baby at the front of my house (usually leave it at cassi's but not recently) i live in a cul de sac so its usually safe except when it hails. luckily it wasnt too bad over here
