does any1 in here know wat happens when you don't get your car in the pit on time...i mean the yellow sticker expired last friday and i couldn't make it to the pit because my car wasn't ready til 5..

you'd best get onto them straight away and explain the situation, they just might extend the expiry date, if not you might now be required to get a permit to take the car to the pits (revenue).

It's a crock of sh!t really, because the car would still be licensed so that should give you the right to take it to the pits at anytime without a permit b/4 the rego expires. Obviously you couldn't drive the vehicle for normal duties once the y/sticker expires.

I think once a certain period of time elapses, they will ask for the plates back, which they shouldn't do if the rego is still current.

thanks ric77 and rb20lagwagon... did try ringing the 13.... but never got through ....all weekend i just sat n stare at the new front mount put on last friday and can't drive the car, its the most stressful weekend i had in a while....

anyway i knock off work early 2day, took it to whelspool pit.... and they didn't say nething about the yellow expired... not only that i got permits for everything...i couldn't believe it, from exhoust to intercooler and even hks ssq bov...

btw... who's the dickhead in the silver wrx trying to drag the cop while he was test driving my car...

If I ever get a licky on my fully engineered (well this is pending ;P) Cefi I will scream :) But, otherwise... just remove said licky and apply straight. They typically come right off without any dramas.

I got a yellow sticker a few months back for being too low, and having non standard seat rails without a permit.

FYI - anyone with yellow stickers dont go to East Perth!!! They are wankers. They went right over the car and pick out bullshit problems. Like the passenger side windscreen washer not working properly (Not life threatening I'm sure). They they gave me a big list of items I needed a permit for - Strut brace, pod filter, bov, aftermarket seats etc all little things...oh...and the remove the locked diff

They also made we go to Welshpool to speak to the head of the technical team about my pillar gauges being too wide, even though I had a permit for them already. They wouldn't give me the permit back until got the clear from Welshpool.

Well...to cut a long story short, went to Welshpool. Pillar gauges were too wide and come out infront of the steering wheel, but they couldn't do anything because the permit was for multiple gauges. Took it over the pits while I was there and the guy that looked at the list of things, laughed, called the East Perth guys dickheads and crossed everything out. Never looked at the car, just drove it around the block and took the sticker off. Managed to get away with the locked diff, by saying it had a tightened clutch in it, and the Ogura Racing clutch made it feel that way :kick:

maybe it depends on who looks at your car. I ended up having the supervisor looking at my pillar gauges and threatening that they may have to be removed, even though I had a permit for them. The guy said the supervisor had the authority to overturn permits, which I found out from the technical team later that they have no such authority. A permit is a legal document that they cannot revoke later.

Their reasoning was that I could have changed gauges after the permit was issued, which I didn't. The permit said fitment of gauges, so it didn't matter according to the head of the technical team at Welshpool.

I just thought it strange that even the guy at Welshpool called the East Perth guys dickheads. I have heard from a few other people that they only ever take their cars over the pit at welshpool, especially jdm cars.

I think you will find he has every authority to overturn permits, despite what the technical team may have said. In every situation, items can and HAVE been changed after the issue of permits, contrary to what the legal requirements are for that particular modification.

Wheel track and body height from the ground are a couple of items that come to mind.
