I don't think I'm alone in this request...as a lot of the other people that own R34's have a great deal of trouble finding info/tech details...etc etc

It would probably help cut down on the misinformation....only today most of us found the pin-outs for the R34 ECU!!!

It would be great to collate all of this info in one section.

so then we need an r32, r33, r34, r31 forum, then possibly a "sedan" forum for each of these, and then maybe "skylines with nice rims" and then we need "r33 with RB25de engines" thread, and then an "r33 GTS4" thread?? ;)

come on, gets a bit of control doesn't it?

I am sure the guys have thought of splitting it into specific models in the past, but I think its fine the way it is..

That's a bit extreme Gordo, the reason I mentioned it is for the pure fact the R34 seems to a mystery with most people, and everytime someone with an R34 posts a question...a majority of the replies start with "on my R33 blah blah blah" which doesn't really mean much when you're referring to a NEO.

We've got more in common with the Stagea guys! Sharing the same ECU and engine/transmission parts.

If anything we should make the Stagea section to include R34's at least the information being shared wouldn't be hearsay and conjecture based on what my cousins, uncles, friends, habib saw on an R32 one ful-sic night.

points are valid.. ;)

newer engine true, differences, true.. how about a NEO engine off forced induction? Then by all rights you'd have to have an RB20DET, then RB26dett forum.. to cover these engines specifically.

I can see this being useful, as a number of cars share these engines, therefore much of the info is more relevent by engine, rather than by car.

The only problem with this is its furthering the "too many sections" problem... anyhow, something to think about for the powers that be I guess.

Hey Guys,

I am all for an R34 section, but as its been said, the forums have been criticised for too many areas as it is. If there was to be an R34 section would it be all aspects of the R34? Bevause there are several aspects of it that can be posted in already active sections where it gets coverage and contributions. Where would the line be drawn?

Christian

I suggest when you guys make your threads that you label em NEO specific, so as not to get the R33 boys interested.

Then again... an R34's tie rods are the same as a Nissan Maxima, and an R32... so... if someone wants help with their R34 tie rods where do they post? R34 section? do you think they'd get a response from non R34 owners?

BTW if you wanted R34 ECU pinouts all you had to do was search, or look in my sig... I am selling the R34 japanese service manual :) (non GTR models)

Yeah but Prank the guys criticising don't own 34's :D I do agree that we can post in the other sections....but it just feels like we have to dredge through a ton of stuff in a search...whereas if you just started off in the right sections answers would come quicker. Personally I feel if there was a dedicated R34 sections people would go there straight away...just like the Stagea section.

You generally find the best way to get a question answered is to ask someone that has the same car.

A good example is in the numerous threads where it lists part numbers like brake pads etc etc, you always get to the bit with R34 to see a load of ????????

Damn now I know how minority groups feel LOL

I see what you are saying but as said above maybe the engine is the distinction.

Perhaps NEO and gearboxes...

Perhaps instead we should start a campaign to get all R34 owners to put the word "RB25NEO" or something like it in their posts so we can search them easier.

Just an idea

There is a section for General, R33 and R32 in the "list of members tutorials" Couldn't one be started for the R34's. Obviously we couldnt use it for questions, but when a question/problem is resolved couldn't the outcome be moved there. Also things like ECU pinouts and other important info could be posted there. At least this way we have somewere we could use without having to start a new section in the forum.
