After deck installation no lights in the cabin?

i was going to install my mates new headunit into his R33 and i was wondering if anyone can tell me the pin out of the stock plug???

It's not the rheostat, because he said he's got instrument lights. Have you checked the globes?

Well if its the fuse, the dash lights is on the same circuit as the parkers... So if you blow one, normally the other goes out.

someonestolecc : nah, i've seen people blow up the speaker channels, and why the problem above occurs is generally if you dont run an earth through the chassis, but insted use the one in the plug. The one in the plug is sometimes used as a "dimmer" wire, so that when you turn your parkers on it changes its polarity

go to super cheap or the like and get a nissan adapting plug . match colour for coulour and you're done.

Hey, i have done things like that my self when doing installs and crap, i have found that when installing the stereo a wire in the dash will appear to be an earth untill its in use like when you turn the lights on, so the deck will still work but lights end up not working.
