I have been reading up on wolf, and also reading some stuff posted by silvia owners etc, i have heard wolf doesnt work will under cool starts and has eaten a few startor motors on some silvia alone with some other cars.

Just wondering the truth to this magic ?

magic any chance i can get a pic of ur dyno graph (and some good size, so i can read it just would like to look at the curve and power etc if thats alright)

thanks mike

and yeah this thread is not perth v's the world, as i am not on perth side and im sure alot of other perth people are not. it seems to me SST steve v's the world for some reason

Whats the use of posting you can get water from stone then not tell anyone how? Absolutly useless information that benifits no one and defeats the purpose of posting it in a forum, a place where people share knowledge.

"Come to perth and see for yourself" So will i have to pay some sort of fee or hourly rate to your workshop to find out this infromation? If so you should be donating to this site because it looks like you're trying to benifit your business by posting your workshop can get more out of an injector than anyone else's can workshop can. If not, then why not post how you do it here and save us the flight to W.A?

:whackit:

Steve

May I ask a serious question......

Have you put the wolf on any EJ20, 2J, etc motors - and what sort of results did you see on these motors?

Im just asking to determine if its just rb motor that the Wolf seems to work its majic on, or have you done it on some subi's, supras, etc ......

Thanks

I have avoided a direct face off up to now, but this one is TOOOOO much.

It was a HUB DYNO

The car did'nt have the rear wheels on it

They took them off to mount the dyno cells to the hubs

If it had no rear wheels on it, it can't make RWHP

R= Rear

W= Wheel

HP= Horsewpower

The post is WRONG, it should read RHHP

R= Rear

H= Hub

HP= Horsewpower

Other than that I have no problems:cheers:

PS, well I suspect that Tristan himself didn't make 511rhhp, it was actually Tristan's car.

Your right, it was a hub dyno which read higher than DD dynos. But if you also read it made 438rwhp on a DD dyno which is 326rwkw, on stock injectors.

Continue the argument now :P

Any worrys about starting then come in and try starting any of the cars we have here, we do so many cars a week we normally always have something to show ppl.

We do lots of makes and model so not just Skylines like willies with a blowen alky Hemi we have here now.

The starting storys is Bad bikis mates helping him out.Ask Tristan about starting, he laughed at PAS when the hardest car to start in the Antilag display had an M800 Motec.

Should a GTR be run in 2wd or 4wd? Think about it a GTR is 2wd with a computor controlled 4wd and running full time 4wd as they have to on a 4wd dyno is a very un natural thing.

A GTR on a 4wd dyno must drive the front wheels for the whole tuning session this does not happen on the road.

Bit harsh this thread

Starting stories magic have you ever cursed the cold start on the wolf?

Richies pnp'd sr 180 took from 7-12 cranks to fire and thats with the cas disk dont really think its the wolfs strong point, seems better on seans 26 though

I have met Alex Blackson, i believe one of the engineers who helped design/ create/ make the latest wolf computer. From the way he was talking and explaining the thing to me it seemed to be good value for money compared to other afm ecu's eg. Microtech.

How ever the case, Magic1 did you end up going to the track last night?? If so how did the car perform?

Thanks

H.

We have many cars that I challenge PPL to pick the difference from a factory ECU.

PPL judge the V4 from old models which if like judging Motec by their old models that were screw driver ajustable.Around Xmas time we will have 6 GTRs that I promise will all run 10s and better.Anthony,Fabs,Gav beer,Jade fisher,and Danny smith, Simon nattaloto plus GOTBOOST has a new twin plate clutch now so that has to run 10s if it can run low 11s on a slipping clutch all Wolf equiped.We have cars here to show ppl and if the ECU is not upto standard then we are here to refund or sort it but if you buy a PFC from japan and it has a problem what can you do?But we love and sell PFC also and have the PC software to tune it.

the hardest car to start in the Antilag display had an M800 Motec.

wat does that say about the computer though? any car will start poorly if it isnt tuned properly. not having a go man, im just saying that the comment above contains very little value.

Im not going to because its SST property and anything i say is disputed anyway.

You haven't told us anything to dispute, thats the whole point of my question. WE WANT TO KNOW.

If it's SST's property then you should contact prank and make a donation before you guys post something to promote SST.

Problem is that's a very circular arguement. People dispute the figure because they don't understand how it was achieved and when they ask for details you say you can't or won't reveal the methodology. People thus continue to dispute the claim, and around we go again.

Can you not give an general information about the methodology? I don't think people are looking for blueprints or diagrams, but enough to try and understand how it was achieved.

Not having a dig -- I am genuinely interested in how you did it -- just explain it from the 'othersides' point of view.

Lucien.

I agree, I want to know how to do it aswell, if it can save me some $$'s and I learn something new than I'm all ears. But it seems that if steve tells us then SST wont have the ' edge ' over other workshops, from my point of view it looks like a sly business promotiom.

Before you look like more of a c0ckhead than you already are, you should really look at the Evidence vs the chinese whispers. The evidence is here, the whispers are not.

But as for the injector fable, the whispers certainly are and the evidence is not.

So, who's currently got a car at SST whos paying by the hour for labour as Steve slaves away on forums?

JK

    • I'd suggest the answer to the first question is at least a qualified "yes". I'll come back to that. Pineapples just don't do a lot to solidify the mounting of the subframe. They do a little bit, and that little bit was clearly helpful to me in the past, but the main thing they are intended to be used for is to tip the orientation of the subframe to try to either dial in more or less anti-squat. You can install them one way to try to increase launch traction, or the other way to try to increase lateral grip (at the notional expense of longitudinal traction). Or, as I did, you install them neutral, which only really offers a little bit of "snugging" up of the subframe. When I did pineapples, that was the only option. No-one had a machined alloy collar like the GKTech ones. There were some other options, but nothing like the slip in collars. And it is clear from looking at them that they occupy almost all the free space inside the rubber bush, so they will do a lot to stop them moving internally. So I thought, "that's the game for me!". Obviously the next/adjacent step is poly bushes, but what's the point in doing that with all the work and hassle required to change them over, when jamming (and I mean literally jamming) some alloy into the rubber bushes probably gives an equivalent, or possibly even superior result? So, to go back to your 1st question, I would suggest, for the investment of <<$100 and a morning spent lying under the car swearing and getting some sore fingers, it is certainly something you should try. Who knows? Maybe your situation is so severe that it doesn't solve it. But it might help a lot. If your problem is as severe as you say it is, the next thing to look at is what the rest of the bushes in the rear end a made from. Things like the Hardrace arms with hardened rubber bushes might be a good thing (for the purposes of having adjustability AND stiffer bushes). Otherwise, just poly bushes throughout could be a help. Or following in my fever dream footsteps and putting a lot of sphericals into the rear? Eliminate undersired movement to avoid the build up of resonances that cause the tramp. Also, if you have adjustable uppers in the rear, and you haven't put effort into adjusting the traction arms to minimise bump steer, there might be some advantage in that. If you don't want to go to the effort of doing it yourself (like I am pretty much forced to in Adelaide, owing to a lack of race alignment specialists) then surely there's a place in Melbs that is able to do it. It will cost $$, But that's life.
    • As someone who has pineapples, and horrible axle tramp... should I change these to collars? Is that what you're saying here? Why did you choose these instead of getting pineapples where you said you had good experiences of? I'd love to even attempt to get rid of axle tramp, I either get complete bogginess or absolute insane wheelspin, anything even remotely in between results in filling-removal axle tramp, to the point where launching the car is just not something I do.
    • Lucky for that, because putting ethanol in fuel only lowers the bulk cost of fuel if it's in 91 Add it to 98, 85% of it even and it quintuples in price. Strange physics. f**k you United, Gouging c***ts.
    • Not noticeably. Arguably, the catless turbo is going to work harder in a different direction, as it will spool up faster, go to higher speeds more easily. Only if it was tuned in the original condition. If it was a stock tune, using the AFM before and after the cat/dump change, then no, no retune needed. If the car is running on a MAP sensor, then it might well benefit from a retune. It might even run a little dangerously without a retune, but it could quite easily be fine.
    • We had this blend that uses 98RON + 10% Ethanol which brought it to 100RON. It's no longer available anymore unfortunately.
