i kept getting the $hits at doing a search on installing a fuel pump on my 32 gtst, and only results that were appearing were for R33's

so here it is!!!

1: disconnect the negative battery terminal

2: open you boot, remove mat

3: unscrew the smaller plate (2 screws) covering the plug and unplug the

connection

4: unscrew the larger plate (4 screws), remove the grommet

5: place the screws and plate well out of the way

6: now there will be two hoses, take clamps off, they may spill out sum petrol, but dosnt matter really, place clamps out of the way.

7: wipe away and dirt or grit that may fall in the tank

8: unscrew the 8 (i think) screws to get into the tank, and put them aside

9:lift up slowly and lift out, be carefull the filter and tank level measurer

10:after its removed just tip up side down the remove excess fuel inside

11: take the 2 clamps of the hose on the pump

12: cut the wires (taking notice which one is black and red) and remove the pump

13: depending on the type of pump you have bought connect the new plug on, best way would be to solder at the contacts, i cut the wires halfway soldered the new cconnection and used heat shrink to seal it. make sure they are secure (not touching each other) and there is no exposed wire that can touch anything metal.

14: attach you filter to the bottom on the pump then attach the crimp to hold it on,

(i used the existing one of my old pump)

15:cut the hose provided with your new pump the an approriate lenght and attach hose clamps

16: add rubber support the the bottom of pump and slot in the existing gap on pump holder till it has a snug fit (may need to leave hose clamps loose to move around)

17: make sure the the pump is tight and wont move around, you can add a cable tie if you wish, double check wires.

18: replace everything the way you removed it.

19: turn the ignition on leave it for 10secs the start the car.

all done!!!!

pm me for any questions, instructions may vary from pump to pump

if you are not 100% sure of the wiring get a proffesional to do it.

happy installations!
