Has anyone had a noticable increase in fuel economy after tuning an aftermarket computer? A PowerFC is on my list of things to get down the track, but given the rising price of fuel if there was a decent increase in fuel economy it could be worth getting one sooner rather than later...

YES many users!!

ohhh did you just ?

fark 4 years ago.. i feel old

This weekend i drove from paramatta to newcastle for $15. which is very good fuel economy. 150+ km (was $1.19c a litre BP ultimate)

PFC is the way to go.

i definately noticed better fuel economy since going from standard ecu + 200rwkw to haltech e11v2 and 280rwkw. how much better i don't know exactly, my fuel gauge has aids and is really inaccurate (eg. needle reads full for the first 100k's then drops quickly)

I'm hoping to get some "i get x more kms per tank" stories to work out if it's worth the cost.

~100km more and Night & Day difference in response.

Its a no brainer really, a properly tuned car is a beautiful thing.

i got 122km's extra to a tank after installing my power fc.

Time to start saving for a PowerFC then I think...

I got a *large* difference in economy after getting a power FC, it all depends on the quality of the the tune/your AFR ratio down the bottom end if you want to drive economically AND your right foot :ermm:.
