I have a set of Apexi N1's in my R32. When I bought the car they were wound up pretty high (not much lower then stock height). After wounding them down to the lowest setting (around 90 - 95mm ground clearance) I have found the springs don't seem to be long enough :D

If I jack the car up, there is about 1 inch of space between the springs its self, and the top of the strut. And when on rough/bumpy rounds, you can hear the springs jumping around as the wheels are moved up an down by the bumps. Even just going up my drive way can cause this to happen

I've been told 1) my springs are cut (which they aren’t)

Or 2) my coilovers need to be rebuilt, but they don’t leak any oil.

I can’t really explain any better, but if I can find a jack, that’ll fit under my car, I will take pics.

Cheers.

Hi Josh, you have lowered the car below that which Apexi designed the coils to handle. The measurement from the centre of the wheel to the guard verticaly should be not less than 345mm.

:D
