i have one, goin in my glovey, u need a power invertor to run it in the car the audio guy told me, but compared to the ps1 i really dont know never had it

i thought it sounded like it had a fan but hey i can be wrong so i cant back that up...

um why not just use a simple DC-DC power converter with a voltage rectifier (or put a properly rated cap). An inverter takes a perfectly good DC signal, converts it to a square wave AC, then the power supply in your PS2 converts the AC signal back to a 3V or 5V DC signal.
