the resolution is slightly different ie: the z32 can measure more air. For example for a given ammount of air flow the RB20 meter might measure 5V (maximum value) a Z32 meter might be reading 4.5V. Physically they are the same, electrially they are not. The slope gradient used to calculate the ammount of air flow for a given signal voltage is slightly different also, but the gradient is a value stored in the software of the ecu. peak voltage on all the afms you have mentioned are 5V. What ecu are you using??

your car is a r32 right? See lachlan riddel up there at chiptorque, he has the nissan emulator to rewrite a chip for your car and should have or could find the graident you need from an RB20 or Z32 ecu. Use this value in your rewritten chip and your afms will work as they should. We used the Z32 meters as it gave us more scope for tuning. On a mild tune road car RB20 meters should be sufficient, but i always like to only spend dollars once. Paul...DIRTgarage.

It all depends how much power you are planning to make.

You will have better tuning load resolution if you use AFMs that are on or near the limit for the power you are making.
