RB20DET Gearbox ? Rough ovr to 5th/rev ?

H all,

Looking to hear from R32 owners, the gearbox in mine is quite notchy to get over to 5th/reverse, all the rest are really smooth, is the gate just stiffer on that side or is there something wrong in my cogswapper?

Problems with 5th/reverse in the 'small' Nissan 5-speeds is usually a sign the main shaft nut has come loose - very common problem. Simple fix, but requires extension housing to be removed.

thats fine.. the motor/box is not in the car atm... how is it fixed?
