Hey

Last night my house was broken into while I was asleep. A notebook computer was stolen. It cannot be accessed by anyone else as it has bios passwords on it.

The model was a IBM Thinkpad T30

Just thought there might be some odd chance that someone works in a computer store here and has a customer bring this computer in with some bs excuse as to why they cant remember their passwords.

The notebook bag also had important personal documents in it

If anyone hears anything please do not hesitate to call me on 043 999 9997

Thanks everyone

Dan

Thats pretty unlucky same thing happened to me not to long ago.

Filled out a police report but that just went no where :chairshot

The bad thing is that bios passwords arent to hard to get passed if you know what your doing.

Time for some vigilante action me thinks :uzi:

saw your post i used to work at a computer wholesaler put out a couple calls to some of the old shops i used to sell to letting them know.

Where was it stolen from cause they may go to a computer shop in the area, kinda narrows it down but if you don't have serial number and other documentation nothing you can do even if a t30 pops up mysteriously.

Sorry to hear that,

My wife was in the shower when our house was broken in....

Some gold wen't missing etc..small things..... The guy was still in the house when she wen't out to the servo, we both came back and watched tv for 30min before going to the SkyShow.

He bent the back security door of the bedroom to get out as he heard me go to the toilet.

We didn't even hear anything.

We do have now top of the line security monitored system with panic button.

And a sharp object in every room ......
