Cefiro with Mines Ecu

Guys..

Anyone know if there is any difference using Mines Ecu or OEM Nissan Ecu ?

I realised that my newly converted RB20det came with Mines ecu.I mechanics told me it runs on higher fuel consumption.Any advice on the pro and cons if I'm going to stick with Mines.

hey Asri, a Mines ECU would mean probably mean that your ignition timing is advanced and maybe slightly higher boost, along with removed speed cut and some other things..

however, its tuned for Jap fuel so you must use Shell V-Power or whutever it is thats currently the highest octance fuel in Msia.. yes i know its expensive

arrgghh..no wonder my fuel shooting sky high....but then is there any effect on the performance or not?

id just throw a stock ecu in for now until you can put the car up on a dyno to double check your mixture etc.

my mech says it would be difficult..and to tune again the air/fuel ratio he tried with the apexi afc but doesn't help much ...

If its a genuine Mines ECU you cannot retune it as the Chip is generally adhered to the main board.
