RB20DET Timing belt q's

Hi all,

Doing some maint on an RB20 before dropping it in. It has 119k on the clock, but would like to check the timing belt just to make sure that it has been looked after (and changed at 100k like it should).

So I marked out the CAS position on the cover before taking it off, now I have been thinking about giving the covers all a lick of paint while off the engine... but then I would loose my markings to get the CAS back on in the correct position!

any tips? :confused:

mark it on the inside in the same place,

if your giving that a lick too, the put a lil scratch.

or dont paint it?

Don't worry about it - just use a timing light when you start it back up!

whats a good indication that it has/has not been changed?
