Crazy Question

OK this might sound a little parinoied but. When i turn hard left or right, the revs increase, only slightly, like up to 1000, or a bit more. It goes strait up then down

same reversing, or driving when cold down the 10 lvl carpark when i leave work.

the car is new to me so i have no idea if this is the car just keeping the revs up..

Could be the ECU increasing the revs slightly due to the increased load that the power steering puts on the motor ?

Anyone else ?

if your only moving slow, its because the power steering needs to use revs/engine power to work

its normal

if it does it excessively, maybe its time for a flush or new pump

Yep power steering... Most EFI cars with power steer do it...
