just had my car dyno!

450hp gcg turbo

pfc

3" exh turbo back

greddy filter

nismo pump

nismo reg

hks evc 3

200rwkw at 10 psi

220rwkw at 1bar

the tuner thinks that it would get more power at 15 psi by looking at the 10 psi boost. we have tried to boost to 1.2bar but it dropped back to 15 psi. He reckoned that it was leaking pressure somewhere and possibly the stock BOV! any suggestions would be appreciated!!

It does sound like you need to fiddle with the cam gear.  I have 228rwkw at 12-13 psi, same turbo.  This is an auto though so that equates to a bit more.

Abo:

what degree did you set your exh timing? The thing is i got 200rwkw at 10psi but as i increase boost to 14psi i got 224rwkw but when increased another psi i got less power! Basically the graph power is like a straight line! note also i have turbo surge at 3500rpm as well! :whatsthat

3000: 85rwk

3500: 115rwkw

4000: 138rwkw

4500: 156rwkw

5000: 175rwkw

5500: 193rwkw

6000: 205rwkw

6500: 217rwkw

6700: 220rwkw

7000: 215rwkw

do you still use stock BOV?

Dodgy dyno sheet as the clutch was slipping as boost came on then grabbing on at higher revs... made for crazy power dips along the curve.

Stock injectors were close to max at this power. New injectors (when money permits) will allow 18-20psi which will bring this turbo more into its efficiency range as at the moment it still has a lot left in it.

Hi

Car: Impul R33r Sedan

Mods are as follows:

- HKS 2835 Pro Spec S with HKS Actuator

- Apexi PFC with Boost Controller

- Nismo 550cc Injectors

- Z32 Air Flow Meter

- R33 GTR Intercooler

- R33 GTR Fuel Pump

- NPC Nismo Style Pressure Plate and Ceramic Clutch

- 3' Dump and exhaust

- 98 BP Ultimate

Made 230.7rwkw at 17psi, could have got more, but didnt want to lean on the engine too much. Nice and safe.

i was pullin 200 kw on the stock turbo

dyno is in the hks gt2530 thread

Thizzle,

I understand you got 250rwkw with a HKS GT-RS, PFC, 1 bar,FMIC.

What are your other mods? if you have any, such as:

injectors?

fuel pump?

FMIC size+brand?

Pod/Panel filter?

Exhaust(size & name)?

Top/Bottom-end....Stock internals?

This information would be most appreciated. Thank you.

Bill

late reply havent been on much lately...

man thats a long time ago i currently making 301.6 rwkw on the tiny gt-rs on 1.38 bar boost.. i got some hks cams and head gasket and a retune...ill scan dyno later..stock internals,ALL parts u asked about are HKS..cool turbo for street use in sydney..

dyno attached now.... best run is runfile007...

Bought my Skyline two months ago and got it serviced and dyno'ed a few weeks back. It outputs 142.7kW at the rear wheels. Was very impressed with this output as it is only a stock car.

I plan to do some performance upgrades to it once i've saved up enough.

My first post on this site. :D Looking forward to posting many more.

HKS 3037 proS

HKS ssq blow off valve

Yet to do the final dyno run but it is sure to make over 280rwkw on 1.2 bar

With a bit of 116octane she should make about 330rwkw on around 1.7 bar

i have an R33 S2

- stock cooler

- stock ECU

- stock turbo

- apexi power intake

- split dump and 3" front

- hollow cat :D

- HKS hi power 3.5"

- 10psi

made 170rwkw. with misfire on 11-12psi, stopped the run, coils earthing out

taped coils with nitto elec tape = no missfire, yet to dyno

PFC on the way, then what sort of grunt would it make with 12psi and FC? anyone?

Does taping the coil packs only help when they have obvious cracks in them?? I'm having trouble with my RB25, have searched alot and tryed a few different things but still got the misfire up high (4500 onwards)

Might aswell add mine too I suppose.

RB25

-Hybrid turbo

-fmic

-exhaust

-haltech

-custom plenum

-600HP fuel pump

-249RWkw @ 12.5 Psi

Dyno done over a year ago before buying the car, so it needs a tune badly. Got some injectors to go in and fix the misfire then might turn the boost up a bit more

;)

    • I’d love to find some where that can recover the dashes to look brand new and original. Mine has a very slight bubble, nothing compared to come I’ve seen though
    • $170K. I asked one of the guys there as a joke if that price was just for the passenger seat as it was where the price sheet was... he tried really hard to crack a smile 😄 He also mentioned that every single part of the car was inspected and either restored or replaced with a new or as new part, or made from scratch. The interior was incredible, every inch like a new car.
    • Time for a modernisation, throw out the AFM, stock O2s, ECU into the e-waste bin. Rip out the cable throttle, IACV, pedal, etc. into the scrap metal bin. DBW, e-throttle, modern ECU, CANbus wideband, and the thing will drive better than when it left the factory.
    • I agree, don't go trusting those trims. As I said, first step is to put the logger away, and do the basics in diagnosis.   I spend plenty of time with data loggers. I also spend plenty of time teaching "technicians" why they need to stop using their data loggers, and learn real diagnostics.   The amount of data logs I play with would probably blow most people away. I don't just use it to diagnose. I log raw CAN data too, as a nice chunk of my job is reverse engineering what automotive manufacturers are doing.
    • I'm aware, but unless you're actually seeing the voltage the ECU is seeing and you're able to verify the sensors are actually working I find it hard to just trust STFT/LTFT. I will say, logging the ECU comes naturally to me because it's one of the lowest effort methods of diagnosis and I do similar things in my day job all the time. Staring at 20+ charts looking for something that isn't quite right isn't for everyone. NDS1 allows you to log almost everything so that's normally what I do and then sort out the data later.
