Is this Diff mechanical? Pics inside

I was unable to find any markings showing what brand etc it may be......the only markings were the numbers you can see in the pics.

Is anyone able to tell me with some certainty if this a a mechanical diff?

Hard to see from those pics.

If you could get a pic of inside those holes in the first pic it may help find out.

I think inside there are metal rod things that have ramps on them.

Have you had this in a car? Or are you thinking about buying it?

Found a reciept for it in the car.......(car is fresh from Japan) Turns out it was onlybought brand new and fitted 6 weeks before i bought the car too!!!!!!!!!!!

theyre worth a pretty penny those nismo 2ways or any make for that matter:D:D and yes they act like a locked diff.

they aren't permanently locked. it'll have some slip when needed

they will lock when accelerating and deaccelerating (hence 2-way)

you'll get heaps better turn-in than you will in a fully locked diff. they usually cost $800-1500 depending on what you get/condition.
