Who needs movies. A photo of me jumping a road in a 39 ton Leopard Tank AS1 ARVM (Armoured Recovery Vehicle - Medium) at 65 km/h. Normally we carry a 5 ton power pack (engine/transmission unit) but this day we were clean for some fun. 823hp V10 twin supercharged MTU (Mercedes) diesel that uses 2 litres per km. Each pot is close to 186 cubic inches in capacity or about 30 litres total capacity. After this thing I sold the Land Cruiser and have never 4WD'd since.

You better bring on of them to the next track day :D

Ultimate road movie:

Two Lane Blacktop - '55 Chevy vs Yellow Goat. Starring James Taylor as The Driver.

If you ain't seen it, go down to your local video store NOW! Some classic drag racing scenes, specially when the '55 Chevy blows away a '65/'66 Vette.

454 and 4 on the floor! Love it!! :headspin:

Got to love the '34 Ford Model A in American Graffiti. The Pharoahs' Led Sled and the '58 Chevy are pretty cool too! While you're at the video store, get out American Graffiti II, as well and enjoy some cool drag racing.

Gold finger had a Aston martin DB4 mocked as a DB5

I think not! I saw this in the flesh not too long after the movie came out (showing my age!) and it was most definitely a DB5. An early one, but a DB5 nonetheless. The second edition of the Corgi toy version was a DB6. I have both - in their boxes.

Cheers. :)

They made a sequel to American Graffiti..ill try and rent it:)

There was also a lame ass movie with the guy from 21 Jump Street ; was it Richard Grieko or something.

Plenty of cool cars and from memory pretty cute babe, cant remember if the car scenes were much chop, but it did have a nise Cobra in it.

And there was a pretty crappy film "No Mans Land" with Charlie Sheen, plenty of Porsches but nothing sensational:(

Hrrrm- Top Gun is on the telly. I'm having drinkies on the couch instead of at the pub.

And I've just decided to add the Volkswagen Karmann Ghia/ Porsche Whatever driven by Kelly McGillis/ Charlie to the list

saw a cool program on 'Eleanor' cars on foxtel digital (I think) on Tuesday night, showing them rebuilding old Mustangs?? and making them like the movie car, didnt see a mention of price but apparently they are making 475 of them. Some of the cars were coming out with 700hp (supercharged), the car was a mass of braces just to keep it straight. pretty interesting stuff, showed the whole rebuild from a wreck on the farm to the final beauty. Catch it if you can, i suppose the program will go round more than once on that channel.

this link has an article on car http://popularmechanics.com/automotive/sub...0e/index2.phtml

Did anyone mention the Delorian from Back to the Future, because that car was gnarly!

Supporting a flux capacitor filled with pletonium, thats like a few G's of boots. And then you got those tires spinning faster than steve erkels car on granny hilbilies moonshine, and handling speeds and heat in excess of the time barrier.

Yep we can be leaving out the delorian!!! ^________^

ronin and the transporter were great movies...for ronin, who cares about a storyline! for transporter, starts off real good and unique but ends up as a cliched action movie.

what car had the afterburner in cannonball run 2? too far.

the little civic in pulp fiction and rabbits shitbox from 8mile. beasts!

did i mention how extremely bad the r34 is from 2f2f? ruined it, even before it crashed....

wish i had a car with revolving numberplates, like bonds db7
