had the same problem with them. We wanted to order over $10 000 in parts for our current project and no reply. So we are looking elsewhere.

I have to say that in my own experience Brent from Nengun has been great. I ordered a part off him that he'd offered on special at below cost, it arrived every so slightly damaged, I sent him an email saying that I wasn't happy, he then sent me a replacement by EMS direct from Japan all without any cost to me, it was all sorted in good time too. He would have certainly made a loss on that deal with me, but I will certainly buy more stuff through him. The email response can be a little slow at times, but he may be in transit etc.

Sorry that his service wasn't so good for you guys, but I'm sure he'll sort out the refund.

Richard

hmm that sounds shonky as... especially the getting a stock fuel pump in a nismo box i mean wtf.

i was gonna buy some cams from him but that sounds dodgey as ... i thought he was meant to be good and heaps of people had ordered from him?

hmm

i had a recent bad experience with nengun...

rip me off with the apexi gtst intake kit....

it doesnt come with the adaptor [as it was stated before i complain and he change the site to say "no adaptor required"]

meaning u bolt the filter straight in to the amf... too close to the amf for my confort.....

if u look carefully the filter [for $50] codes are the same as the gtst kit for $100..

jst a note...

I can see this thread turning into a good vs. bad Nengun thing-I personally have nothing but praise for Nengun so far-but,please:can anyone help GZ R33 out with a contact phone number as he's asked?

As for Brent(Nengun) passing up on 10K worth of orders?!

I've got nothing but good things to say about Brent from Nengun. Everything we've ordered has been delivered in the time that he stated.

I ordered coil packs last Tuesday and they were delivered today less than one week later.

I've previously ordered PowerFC, AVCR, Apexi FMIC, Tomei Cam Gear and Splitfire Coil Packs.

I've had to wait since September to get hold of the coil packs because of high demand, but I was willing to wait and go through Brent. I could have gone elsewhere but I'd rather give Brent the business.

Brent has been pretty good for me....ordered 3 seperate times. At time little slow but parts seem to arrive no problem. I'm currently tracking my 3rd order from jp.

But i usually find to contact him is better via his website instead of emailing him.

Don't forget really he is just a middle-man to the suppliers. If the suppliers are slack or out of stock, then you're not going to get the items. From what I gather, he wouldn't carry anything in stock in any sort of store himself. You put an order in, he goes and places it with the supplier on payment at your end.

If you are lucky he gets part quickly wherever he is, sends it onto Australia, and then customs looks at it, might hold it for a few weeks (just for fun), slaps tax on it and then you get it in your hot little hand.

If not you don't get part for long time, you bitch and whinge, then come on here :)

If you want your parts cheap, then you have to be prepared to wait AFIAC.. otherwise, buy locally.

I remember for my order, one part was easy to get, the others were a holdup, which delayed the whole order. That is how things work in the "you want it cheap, you don't have stock" world.

My order took about a month, but I was prepared to wait.. wait good.. make you eager for goods.. prepare long before you actually do vitally need them Confusious say you do...mmm?

It's all good about waiting but what about the people who have been sent nothing with no reply?

I mean a few people have said they've never received the goods, they were never sent the goods and didn't receive a refund and no reply?

what the... i remember about 3months ago i started a thread if i should buy from nengun and about 40 people said yeah they'd all been dealing with them and it's no problem.. now i just hear this guys not reachable and the stuff is wrong or not being sent. I just find that strange.

It's all good to wait, I mean things do happen in just-in-time stocking procedures but if you're the owner of the business you need to tell your customers what's going on.. also if you have money that you haven't sent stock out for.. you'd think you'd notice no?

i have bought heaps of parts from Brent such as turbo kit, intercooler kit, injectors, cam gears and etc...i never have any problem with Brent...i believe he is a responsible person. anyway, just wait for a bit more and see what happens~~~!!!

raz0r$harP: can you post the web address for Greenline...just want to compare the price with nengun..thanks

    • Haha that's wholesome as! Looks like we're raising a generation of female rev heads and classic shit box owners 馃ぃ
    • Haha nice, my kids are the same two older boys say cars are boring while younger girls like them. My 1.5yo daughter watches D1GP on YouTube with me, holding a toy plate for steering wheel and making brmm brmm noises
    • Took the car out to see if it still starts, sure does. Daughter wanted to for a spin too, she loves it when it doses, also cries when we come home and try to take her out of the baby seat 馃ゲ  I actually put the seat in for her brother, but he absolutely hates the shitbox. Anyhow, so after looking at real boats, and transoms, bait tanks etc. and scupper valves attached to them, I came up with ideas to improve the catch can. The primary goal was to stop the interior smelling like vented catch can shit when the windows are down OR when the HVAC is not recirculated. My catch can has a sump drain/feed at the bottom, 2x cam cover inlets, 1x outlet back to the intake pipe and 1x vent at the top. The initial theory was at idle, and off boost there would be just enough suction from the intake pipe (pre turbo) to pull back any smelly shit from the catch can before it could escape out of the vent (which does have 1x layer of foam and a fine mesh screen on top). It kind of works, however on hot days, the motor is breathing more than the suction provided from the intake pipe (pre turbo) and there's a bit of vapours escaping (not a bit amount, but enough to piss me off). I could have just sealed off the vent, however it would mean each time I take it to the track or decide to drive it with a bit of enthusiasm, I would need to remove the seal. To address this, using scupper valve idea, I used a 3mm sheet of rubber and cut essentially a valve that requires a bit of pressure to crack open and vent. Took the shit box for a drive today, came back and parked the car. No heavy stench, great success 鈽猴笍 I still would swap for a F80 LCI or W204 2012+ C63 AMG, if anyone is keen 馃槄
    • I'm with Kinkstaah on this one. Do it once, do it right. So much better for your mental health. The sneaky thing about the fuel pump wiring is that it will work perfectly fine for the longest time. Until that one moment when it decides to shit the bed. And it's not worth the paranoia from not trusting the car anymore. At least other mechanical issues announce themselves by developing some noise or other warning. If you have the funds, I'd suggest to go with a good kit like Frenchys and get the work done by a trustworthy shop. No regrets there. The only downside to the Frenchys kit on the Stagea/R32 GTR is that their fuel level sender is not on point. But looks like the R33 kit maintains the factory sender so should not be an issue. This is what the botched setup on my Stagea looked like before it stopped working. It had melted its way quite a distance down. Glad it didn't burn down the car.   Some links I came across when I looked for solutions: Radium sells a DIY wiring kit that looks promising. I didn't buy it though, I let my workshop decide on wiring. https://www.prospeedracing.com.au/products/radium-diy-fuel-pump-hard-wiring-kit-17-0031 https://www.radiumauto.com/DIY-Fuel-Pump-Wiring-Kit-P368.aspx   You can also get cheap replacements for the locking ring depending on how mangled it looks: https://www.kudosmotorsports.com/Nissan-17343-79900-Fuel-Tank-Outlet-Locking-Ring-for-Nissan-S14-S15-BNR32-R33-R34-AWC34 There are tools for unscrewing it as well so you don't have to abuse it with a screwdriver and mallet. The Frenchys one is expensive but I'm sure there are cheaper ones.
