PowerFC ECUs w/ Hand Controllers (NEW & under $1000!)

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys,

Just a reminder that the cutoff for confirming is today @ 10PM AEST -- that's in about 7 hours. Please contact me by then otherwise you will miss out.

I will be out of contact from about 5:30-8:00PM tonight. I will respond to PMs/emails/posts after that, or if you need to contact me directly, you can leave a message on my voicemail and I will return your call when I get back.

A couple of people have contacted me to confirm today: I will be updating the confirmed list tonight when I get home.

Cheers,

Lucien.

I will put my confirmation in at 9.59 PM when I get home, becase I am waiting on a couple of mates to get back to me. Hopefully I'm not late.

I'm with ANZ also, so my payment should appear in his account instantly. But about this screen grab business: I just bought myself an Apple Powerbook and I have no idea how to take screen grabs.

Any Apple users in the group buy? Hha.

P1E: Ok, I will keep an eye out for your email/PM/whatever.

As for taking screenshots: http://www.gsbcweb.org/mac_screenshot.html

You should probably download a copy of Graphics Converter

I have replied to all the PMs/emails. I will update the confirmed list after I have had a second to grab some dinner and relax.

A§H: You have PM mate.

THIS GROUP BUY IS NOW CLOSED

If you want to be included, CONTACT ME NOW: as soon as I have compiled all the details and double-checked them, I am sending them off to Nengun, so you have about 30 minutes max.

The list has been updated yet again.

Lucien.

38 confirmed buyers? Cough. More discount. Cough.

Heh: some people are never happy :P I have reminded Brent that we are over 30 orders, and that even if (the not insubstantial amount of) 8 drop out, we should be given the lower price.

I still fully expect some people to drop out when it comes to actually paying, I'm just hoping its restricted to one or two people.

Certainly would have to go down as one of the largest group buys me thinks.

Lucien.

Dude.. Your a champ. Thanks for organising all the ground work and congrats on a successful group buy :P

Cheers

Thanks: it really does make the whole exercise worthwhile when you see people appreciate it.

But lets hold the applause until funds reach Nengun and units reach buyers, then we can crack the champagne ;)

wenz the bank details coming up?
bank details please

As per my previous emails/PMs and posts, bank details will be provided as soon as people are advised about more specific delivery dates. Brent does not expect people to pay until they actually know when they are likely to receive the products, which involves talking to his suppliers.

When delivery times are known, and we have a finalised price, banking details will be made available.

I had hoped those details will be available today. It may take 24-hours though due to the size of the order. I will keep everyone informed.

Lucien.

UPDATE:

I submitted the orders to Brent late last night.

He was already replied to confirm he has received them, and sent them on to his supplier. Due to the size of the order, Brent expects it may take till tomorrow (although he mentions monday in one of three emails I recieved) till the supplier can confirm stock and delivery times.

You will not be expected to pay until delivery times are advised. Initial indications suggest there may be some shortage, particularly of ECR33 (R33 GTS-t) units, so Brent doesn't want you handing over your cash only to find out your PowerFC will take longer than you wanted: that would make for unhappy customers I guess. Don't worry about running out of time to pay: I will make sure we are given sufficient time.

Again, I will keep you informed of any news I get from Brent. Fingers crossed the supplier replies quickly and there are no delays or shortages.

Cheers,

Lucien

    • This was a huge help.  We followed the steps,  although shifting into 2nd was actually into 3rd for us,  and 1st was into 2nd ( steps 9 and 11) .  The long flash was the 4th flash.  So shift solenoid A is possibly the culprit.  Is this inside the transmission itself? Or is it accessible by just front the pan? Or is it bolted to the outside of the transmission?  Thanos for your help everyone
    • Can you enlighten me on your best practice regarding these hoses? I don't wanna make the same mistake if you already got a better solution.
    • I have some silicon hoses already, for example engine to watercooler. But yeah, I get the sentiment. The lower intercooler silicon hose is drippy too, despite not being very old. Does anyone except Nismo make these same lines out of rubber? Long term I think they'd be the better replacement, especially since the car won't live as hard a life anymore as in the past nor be driven as often.
    • I know most issues are just age related. But for example the turbo oil drains, there is dash adapters for these and you can just make a braided teflon line for them and (probably) never have them leak again. Also not terribly expensive. Can you even get the factory hardlines from new? Or are they repairable if they break?
    • I know it'd be much much easier with the tool. I hope I can find one that won't take 3 weeks to get to me an isn't a "Asian models kit" that has tons of (to me) useless adapters for a load of cash.   It's a summer project/fun car. I do wanna enjoy it, without endless downtime over and over. So yeah I would even go and buy an engine crane + stand to save myself the trouble of hard to reach or unreachable places going bad later on. Would also be a good opportunity to put on a Fluidamper, renew the mains seals and stuff like that. I have some money on the side that I can use for that, what I wouldn't want to or be able to do is let everything be done by a shop or have my engine completely rebuild right now. I intend to do most of the "doable" jobs myself. Pulling an engine can't be that hard, can it?
