Anybody dealt with this company. The car I bought came with this warranty but I don't know whether to bother transferring it. I do most repairs myself and the car seems pretty good. The downside to transfer is that I have to get it serviced every 6 months somewhere where I usually do it myself and also pay 75 to transfer it.

Does anybody know what workshops they use around Sydney. You can get your car serviced by any workshop but for a repair it goes to one of theirs apparently.

Had a look in the booklet and the cover seems reasonable. Covers the engine aup to 2000 gearbox up to 1500 or something. I'm just wndering whehter they would pay for a 2nd hand box to go in if mine failed or something (not that I plan that to happen). Might have to call them and find out!

Thanks

Ben

If if the all star something or other i had on a used car once for some reason they exclude everything in the policy that can and does break.

If you work on the car yourself I'd read over it to see EXACTLY the parts they do cover.. otherwise good luck to you - i hope you won't need it.

I think you will find that most warranty groups only cover items that VERY rarely break.eg: they will cover you if you shatter a piston, but WON"T if you blow a head gasket.

Even if you blew the head gasket, then shattered a piston on the way to get it fixed they will tell you to bugger off.

Not worth the paper they are written on in my opinion. ESPECIALLY when you are saving money by servicing your car yourself, most workshops charge about $100 just to do an oil change.....add up the cost of that every 5000klms......over the next 50,000klms you just saved a hell of a lot of money (enough to cover a gearbox) Not to mention the cost of the warranty itself......depending on the coverage i think they START at $350.

Good luck with whatever option you choose.

I had a similar warranty for a VS Calais.

One of the solenoids in the Auto packed up, I got a new transmission.

I had to pay the difference between the cost of rebuilding the transmission getting a new one (couple of hundred) but that's it.

$75 aint sh1t in the scheme of things if your turbo pops, ans yes, they will cover it if it's stock boost.
