throttle body for custom intake mani

hey all.

was wondering what size throttle body i should use on a rips made intake manifold for my rb20?

i know the stock one isnt great but what other nissans could i pull a TB off to use on it?

Yah, it's very large. Q45 on the left (80mm), stock on the right (60mm).

would it be too big for the rb20 tho?

where does one obtain a Q45 throttle body from?

I've tried the local wreckers = nothing

I've called Nissan = Nothing... "Gives us a VIN# or get f**ked"

ideas? someone pimp one off to me

it comes from nissans vh45de, 4.5l v8.

they came here stateside in the infiniti q45.

not sure about over there tho.

carl h, depending on your power goal, it may well be. The stock rb25 one is fine for upto around 450hp at the engine.

yeah i knew what car it was from!! but nissan wont even attempt to look it up unless i had a VIN number. And since i dont own a Q45 Infiniti it made things hard... even getting gaskets for an RB25DET i needed a VIN# (i dont own a 33)
