S15 manual injectors are a red/brown colour

the part number is 16600 91F00

Auto injectors are a purple colour and are the same as S14

http://www.nissansilvia.co.nz/tech/partnos...s.htm#injectors

after market injectors like Sard 550cc etc are the same part number for Rb25det and Sr20, so the factory S15 and Rb25 should be the same as well.

I am getting the injectors at the end of next week, so I will be able to confirm more then

The ones I am getting are second hand for $300 set of 4

Brand new ones from nissan are $257 plus gst each!!!

wow!

So the 8 you are getting are second hand?

You said a set of 6 will be $450, is this assuming i can find 4 second hand for $300 aswell?

How old are the injectors?

ive got Autronic sm2 and a 044 pump. I have 320rwhp at 1 bar so id say I would have less power than a gt30 with manifold.

But driving to work i hardly even get onto +boost to use alot of fuel!

Was there alot of fine tuning done for daily driving and not just full throttle? I think thats where mine is lacking that extra bit of fine tuning with the pfc

Thats all it would be INASNT, the lack of tuning of AFR & Ignition at part throttle.

I had a VS many moons ago that had part throttle/cruise tuned up close to 17:1. That sounds really lean but that is what I was told.

Unsure how it was done but it definately picked up fuel economy.

Obviously emmisions would have been out the window.

I have noticed the stock ECU tends to run quite lean in the lower rpm ranges (up to 3000-3500rpm) with part throttle (13-13.5:1)

Every car I've seen tuned has always lost this 13-13.5:1 AFR in the lower rpm ranges, the tuners tend to head towards mid 11's to flat 12's.

Leaning it out slightly does reduce response and power under part throttle but I guess that is the trade off.

I'll create a new thread when mine is tuned up as I'm going to have a look exactly how the AFR's & Ignition are with part throttle over the stock Powerfc Map.

mokompri.

Yer not sure on that.. regarding leaning out to increase response.

I've been told by a few tuners that the RB's like to run just that bit more fuel through the mid as it increases response and power.

Maybe this is why the Japs run so rich and use ignition timing to get the best power/response.

I am in the midst of putting RX7 injectors in to my RB20.

Can anyboy Pleeeeeeeeaaassse show me an easy way of modifying the plugs without demolishing them.

I've done the RX-7 (red top) conversion and its not too hard to do.

Best bet is to buy new injector plugs (round the $35 mark new for all six). Then you

You can get the correct crimpers from dicksmith for the plug pins(round 12 bucks or so).

I acually used new wires for the new plugs and then just cut of the old plugs and soldered the new plugs onto the loom.

As for fitting the injectors into the rail. They can be squeezed into the rail with out mods but its a real squeeze . I would recomend getting the rails holders boared slighty to make it an easyer fit.

Also these injectors are a slight pain to get a stable idle at stock rpm (650rpm)

When I did this I set it to idle (on the stock ecu)to the stock GTR idle (950rpm) and it worked fine.

Hope this helps.

Im running rx7 ser v inj. and they didnt require any mods to the plugs as far as i know.

YES they do... More hereRX7 550 cc into RB20

Sorry wrong page - better now - hell thats a crap site - anyway just cut the little plastic lug inside the RX7 injector off and the standard RB20 plug will fit OK

I was referring to the wiring plugs, but yes all u need to do is chop that little lug off (not a huge mod at all) and they drop straight in.
