hks ssq bov

i have a hks ssq bov but it looks nothing like the one from the hks website

and it doesnt have that high pitched sqeak sound

am i unfortunate enough to have a 'copy'?

there is a race type and an older one the race type doesnt make the high pitch squeel plus 10 other diffrent unique sounds like da ssq... i have the one in the pic above..very anti social bov...

Sounds like you got ripped. If it doesn't look like the one in the Picture I'd be:rant:.

I had a SSQ on my GTS-T and it's definately unique and anti social. More of a whistle than the norms. Everyone will know it's you when your in the vicinity. On my GTR I have a set of Super HKS BOV's and theyre the older style. More of the Whooosh..........

A long shot but if you can get back onto the supplier and get it replaced with the one ya wanted. If NOT post it on this site so we can avoid the rip off !@#$%^&*(!.

actually it came from a half cut...can i have a picture of the older one because i dont have any pics...i have no problems with this bov....just has compressor surge at lower rpms and doesnt have that sound i like to hear...

does the supra in the fast and the furious have a HKS SSQV? that car sounds awesome comming out of the garage.....its BOV I mean......Anyone know what that BOV is???

just found out my bov is the 'ol school' hks ssq

so that means i cant that that high pitched sound??

I had one of these BOV's on the R32 when it came from japan before i pulled it out

They go something like this :

PCHTTTTTT and after that PCHHTTT fully sic noise it flutters a little bit....

"watch out the flutter might kill your turbo"

ohh i see....yeah it only makes that PCHTTT sound at full boost...but still flutters...

the flutter? im not too worried about that as i'm only running 5psi lol
