Flat spot at around 4000 to 5000 rpm

I have noticed since getting my front mount intercooler installed and using a bleed valve (boosting to around 10psi), that my R33 Gtst hits a flat spot at around 4 to 5000rpm. It pops and splatters and then kicks in again

I am running the stock ECU. Could the ECU be the problem or could it be something like the fuel pump or the injectors??????

Any help out there would be appreciated!!

Mods: I think a sticky needs to be made at the top with common problems for RB25 such as this, there has been alot of these threads lately

Check these first:

1. Spark Plugs and their gap

2. Coil packs

3. Fuel filter

4. Fuel pump

5. All vacuum lines

6. Type of fuel

Yeah this and a couple of other things need to be stickied.

I found the problem was fixed by advancing the timing slightly. Get it done properly by someone who know's what their doing.
