guy who I bought my engine off had another RB25 running twin turbos in a VL.. went pretty well he said...

can be done... people are a bit dismissive of it, but if done correctly I think it can be a good combination.

Having done the conversion, I would IMHO save your money and build a monster single. But on the other hand I went twin turbo to be different. So each to their own

We used GTR manifolds. They won’t fit at all. You will need to cut the flanges off, and re-weld on to suit the rb25. (Not a big deal).

Turbo’s were rebuilt HKS 25/30’s. Started to pull really hard around 3800rpm, and went all the way to red line – 8500rpmish from memory.

As the motor was in a Silvia, the pipe work was a bitch, and heat was a major issue having the two low mounted. Not knowing what car you wish to do this conversion in, I can’t really comment.

Cost for cost building an rb25/rb30 hybrid with a single would be cheaper. I wont say the price of my motor but think in the field of $25k++ with its support gear.

Power was around the 600rwhp on c16. Ran 10.8 @ 127mph with the brakes on hard half-track to stop braking out, but still did. At a guess it should have been an under 10.5 car. Will never know as the car is now sold.

All the mod’s as follow;
