Wouldnt it make no difference how many BOVs are fitted in relation to holding boost?

1,2, 5 or 10 of them fitted I thought would not give any increase in boost holding ability.

e.g If you had one of the plastic Bosch BOV and it leaked at 10psi I thought fitting another one would result in both of them leaking at 10psi?

I always thought the reason for having more than one BOV was for when running higher boost levels (36psi) it gave more total cfm release as only one fitted would struggle to vent all the excess pressure/air?

They would just share the pressure.

Each would pass half the air a single unit would vent.

Get two coke cans, shake them.

Poke one hole in can A.

Poke two holes in can B.

The pressure of the liquid ejected from Can B, will be half the pressure ejected from Can A.

Twice the total CFM, half the pressure.

As the BOV is set at a X pressure they would release at the same time

under the same pressure but would escape twice as fast

Cant use the can theory here. Its Not the same as BOV as the BOV is pressure set.

To combat boost holding problems, dont companies have varying strength springs that you can install? My cousins 1JZ's blow off valve had a different spring in it, so it would blowoff at lower pressures because he was running low boost...

The spring constant determines how hard a spring is, get a stiff spring fabricated to suit?
