Amaru
I talked to Falken a while back looking for the same tyres and was told they just stopped production of them in 17 size for no reason what so ever. Apparantly they have a tendancy to do that. Talk to Tempe Tyres, they have (or had) Falken RS-V04 semi slicks for $250 a tyre in 245/45/17 and you can get them freighted to Canberra overnight for around $60. These are a proper semi slick tyre, the RT215's are not an R compound tyre. I dont know if it matters, Im guessing you just want them to show off at autosalon Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/56848-falken-rt215-azenis/#findComment-1099694 Share on other sites
someonestolecc
Semis are road legal right? Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/56848-falken-rt215-azenis/#findComment-1099763 Share on other sites
Scooby
I've got used Dunlop 02Gs in 255/45/17 if you're interested. Check your PM. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/56848-falken-rt215-azenis/#findComment-1099858 Share on other sites
maccattack
I was advised recently that Falken has stopped production of all motorsport tyres (including slicks) and have no plans to recommence. Apparently they are withdrawing from motorsport completely. So if you are after Azenis, you will only find existing stock. Funny, that.Hence the reason I'm chasing some from fellow SAU'er and their contacts...because it seems no shop has "existing stock".Falken Aus. told me they've got none as the current "molds" were finished, and they're just tooling up to produce more. That'd be the wait 'till mid next year, then!I don't know who's been told pork pies,maccattack-either or both of us-but I still need some pronto! maccattack
I must say though, for track days - I've tried the Azenis and the Toyo Proxies but neither compare to the Bridgestone RE55's. If you're after 4 track tyres I would definitely give them a try.
