Only one ship to Freo per month as madmurf said.

I imported my gts-t in april this year through geoff, missed the ship by a couple of days so the car ended up coming in early to mid june.

Expect around 3 weeks realistically for the car to get here once it leaves Japan

Z.

I had to help get ten cars on the boat out of Kyushu, we complained and it worked, last month we get a Supra on Tuesday and it was loaded on Saturdays boat.

Pressure is the name of the game, your broker needs to earn his money and doing something which is better than nothing that is how we get it done.

One dealer in Nagoyoa got 20 cars on with 2 weeks notice.

Just keep on them.

yeah got my approval for import about 15th of august and bin trying to get the car over here ever since my head is going to explode....

cant do much else than wait and hope...

Who is the agent in Japan that is doing the booking to get you car on the boat and which city do they work out of.

all i know is that the supplier is MARK SCHUMANN

That's the guy that supplied my car (89 GTR). It went on the boat in mid-September and arrived in Melbourne early October. Can't understand why you are having such problems.

My car has turned out to be a bargain so I've got no complaints.

Hope your luck improves.

http://www.centrelineaus.com/company/company.htm mark schumanns website with mobile number which i rang earlier today to be told they are extremely busy and he would let geoff know where our car was, concerning shipping, geoff was going to email me this afternoon with the info and i,m still waiting 10.05 wst

These are all shit stories - Whatever happened to the importing through a broker being all very easy? you're all paying them to do thier job, yet having chasing them up!

I'd be holding back part of thier service fee if this sh*t continues if I were you lot!

I agree, $1100.00 "BuTT Tax" and having to wait up to three months for a vessel,

The shippers and suppliers are alocated XXX berths per Month, if these are over subscribed the remaining vehicles go into a pool, or on "stand-by" with larger exporters being caught short!!!!. A distinct dis-advantage if you are using a BUTT TAX merchant!!!! That part of "We take the hassel out of importing" must be in SMALL print!!

    • I've been building a 26/30 for a few years now. I've had the head built with all the good stuff. I had a 32 gtr but blew it up and yes its all going into a vl but im looking for some advice from some RB nuts on pros and cons on putting a 26 head on a 30 bottom end is it worth it Works are as follows Head -Extensive porting 1mm oversized supertech valves Supertech double springs Supertech valve guides Supertech titanium retainers Tomei solid lifters Tomei 270 x 10.25 cams Head drain Bottom end series 2 rb30 block Cp ceramic coated pistons Eagle rods Romac balancer Oil restrictions  O ringed blah blah spent a fortune And will get a girdle because the 30s arent used to handling that much rpm Nitto billet oil pump Hypertune plenum 6boost mani Refurbed astra pump thats the cover for it in the boot I did have a precision 6262 but sold it because drag car life. Currently building the ass end full 4 link floater rear end with a 2 speed  But the dilemma i have is my mate rekens I should just stick with the 30 head for reliability. Has any one had any issues with mounting the 26 head ie compression blowing gaskets etc. Just looking for some advice from people who have gone down this route. Here's some photos. Blew the oil pump in the gtr and decided to rip the motor out at the time and do a full build only to find it had been a repairable write off so went down this path.

    • lol no cats running str pipes … might put the high flow back on but I suspect it might effect my ignition timing a bit.
    • That looks a bit like yellowing to me. If the rear bar was looking like that from rich idle, I'd ask the question, do you have a catalytic converter fitted, and fully working?
    • Oh yeah gets really bad down here. I’ll have to upgrade the heater and wind screen wipers as well for optimal performance.
