Hey guys..

I have put my rb25det 5spd into my car.... without the slave cylinder attached.

Now i have come to bolt the slave cylinder on, but the throw out fork is too close to fit the slave cylinder on properly as the metal bar pokes out too much...

Now...how should i go about fitting the slave cylinder?

i think the pistons is bashed back as far as it will go... i tried pulling on the throw out fork, but with the OS Giken twin plate... it aint moving now where fast.

i really dont wanna have to drop the box from below the car to free up some slack on the fork...

any ideas?

If you can't fit the slave cylinder with the box bolted up, then it won't fit after you slacken off the box a bit.

Ordinarily, the slave should be auto-adjusting. Did you measure the height of the new clutch compared with a standard one?

if you could fit it on with a shorter pushrod, then shorten the pushrod. But be careful you don't lose "travel".

cheers will investigate... i suppose the clutch would be 'taller' than stock being a twin plate... its missing from lining up by about 1"... with the push rod and cylinder as far back as i goes... a short push rod might work.. sounds dodgy... but might work. The cylinder would still have full travel... hmm
