hey guys, my auto has just gone, soo i was wondering whether its worth getting the manual...im not asking if manual is bettet, i am talking on economical terms, whats this gonna cost me a) auto and B) manual.. and any good places that you guys recommend for conversions..thanks

my car is a 1994 R33 GTS25T AUTO, WISHING TO SWAP TO MANUAL....HELP ME.

Proper manual conversion is going to cost you about 3K all up

You can get a new Automatic gearbox for about 300-500 if you look around

If your making some power and dont want it to break again then take it somewhere to give it an overhaul

the gearbox is:

Nissan RE4R01A Automatic transmission

its almost identicle to the nissan patrol gearbox

Call around and see what workshops have experience with the above..

Yellowpages has pages of transmission specialists

"knore" thanks for your help, my car went into a toyota dealership cause my dad is manager there, they couldnt find the prob, it then went to a transmissions place and they didnt have a clue, so its off to a nissan dealership on monday because apparently they have a machine that can detect the problem with the box, im hoping its not totally gone yet at the same time hope that it is so that i am forced to get a manual. i get my car tunned at "motorsports" they were magnificant, i am yet to contact them to ask if they do conversions....i will keep u guys updated....but the worst is that this has happened and i am going to italy on this tuesday for 2.5 months, so my cousin with a 01 WRX with mild mods will be dealing with it...he loves rear wheelers but will never admit soo. anyways thanks.
